5 out of 5 eggsBD-R works just fine

Pros: Needed to burn some physical backups of my HDDs and this worked fine

Cons: No cons yet

Other Thoughts: I made sure to download my BD-R drive firmware BEFORE i started using these, just to make sure that it will be as up to date and ready as possible. After updating, every burn on each disc has been flawless so far

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent

Pros: No coasters (bad disks) out of 40 burns.
Cheap! I paid about $30 for 50 disks.
Printable, though I just use a Sharpie.
Smooth writing surface.

Cons: They weren't free.
The printable surface will smear if these disks become wet from Gunslinger Double IPA. I suspect water will also cause smears so the printable surface can come with a downside. The disks played fine after cleaning and drying.

Other Thoughts: It would be nice if Newegg picked up the 50Gb dual layer disks again, they are no longer available and were very cheap!

5 out of 5 eggsNo problems for me

Pros: I have used a dozen or so with no coasters. Data verification failed two times but after a second check, they were fine - have been running video conversion/ compression, surfing the net and watching movies while burning so that may have caused it.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: This may be helpful to some that are making lots of coasters. I struggled for about four years to get this Liteon burner to work, firmware updates, different media, different configurations. Nothing worked, only a couple of good disk in 50 or so.... then I changed software brands and found my problem. Through the years I had used 3 different versions of Nero, none of them worked for me. I had used it on dvds for years with no problems at all, really liked the software. After switching to Ashampoo, not another coaster. If you are making too many coasters, try a different burning software.

1 out of 5 eggsNothing but coasters

Pros: Tried burning data backup, twice. And both times it failed.
I tried at the lowest, 4X, the first time. It failed.
Tried burning it at the highest 12x, the socond time, it failed.
Used a Optical Quantum bought from A.m.a.z.o.n, and it burned without any problems.

Cons: Everything. Coaster after coaster.

Other Thoughts: Save your money and go for something else.
Time to contact Newegg for a refund.
This garbage is going back.

5 out of 5 eggsReview

Pros: All of the discs were burned and none of them ended up as coasters.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Was afraid to buy them because of price and not knowing how good the company made blank media but was completely happy that I took a chance. Will buy this brand again for sure.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Value!

Pros: I don't typically review things, but I wanted to leave my positive experience in the midst of all the negative reviews. I purchased two 50 packs to back-up a server. I've burned all 100 of them, using NERO 2014 Platinum and a LG WH14NS40. I used data verification on each burn, which makes it take forever, but it verifies that a proper, error-free burn was the result. I burned them all at 4x and had ZERO coasters. I can't speak on longevity of data, however, I've used their DVDs and some are 5-10 years old with no trouble reading. If these stand the test of time, I don't know what more could be wanted from blank media!

Cons: As long as the data stands the test of time, I have none.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Media! ALWAYS UPDATE your Firmware!!

Pros: As I have stated in a previous review, DO NOT burn media faster than what it is rated for - it doesn't matter that your burner/software will allow you burn at faster speeds ---- it isn't worth it if you end up with Coasters!! Don't be so impatient and burn at the rated speed of the media, I usually write BD-R media (SL & DL) at 4x using the FREE PROGRAM Imgburn to set the writing speed of the media & the program can be used to update your Firmware Version for your burner - I have used it for various brands to do this

Cons: Like most all BD-R media, could always be cheaper than what it is - this isn't bad when you can find it on Sale. Seems to have a good Printable surface as well - all the way to the hub.

Other Thoughts: Update your Firmware! Update your Firmware! Download the FREE PROGRAM Imgburn and Update your Firmware!
....You want to know why you are having problems with this or other BD-R media? That is most likely why ALONG with burning FASTER than what the media is rated for - you are only asking for problems when you burn too fast - be patient!! When you have the latest/updated Firmware for your burner, it will make your burner MORE compatible with different brands of media & make your burns more stable with better quality results! I have been using BD-R media for over 2 years now and have rarely had coasters - it does happen occasionally, if you use blank media long enough, sooner or later you will get some bad stock. For the most part, coasters are due to user error, so do as I've recommended & save yourself some aggravation. I use a lot of Optical Quantum media with rarely a coaster. I also use Ridata, Memorex and other brands as well. I use 3 different LG burners (the first being LS10W30 model) and they all work well with this and other media brands - I also have a Pioneer 209 burner as well - no problems. In case you are wondering, I use DVDFab & Imgburn to back up my Movies, that way the originals aren't damaged, especially when I lend them out! While DVDFab and other programs like it have their own burning engines, Imgburn integrates with DVDFab seamlessly and gives me a better, consistent quality burn - I can also set the burn speed for a specific brand of media. I'm trying to offer some advice from my experience in backing up my Blu-Ray movies.

1 out of 5 eggswasteful

Pros: white inkjet printable. 50 pack.

Cons: 80%+ failure rate on an LG WH12LS39 burner at any write speed. Ridata DVDs are great ... BD-Rs apparently not so much. I cannot trust this product for backups. Memorex seems to be the most reliable brand for my burner.

Other Thoughts: I can't believe I bought two packs of these (one was on sale for half the price the day after I ordered the first set) - that'll teach me. Blessing in disguise: I can't seem to find the second set. Either it's hiding from me or it was redirected to a landfill during transit to save me the trouble.

Pros: Im half way through my 50 disc spindle and no throw aways yet.

Cons: not getting printable again, it was on sale. no drawback other than i dont plan on printing on any of these so the standard silver would look better
