Okay, it's a power supply. Not much excitement there unless it starts smoking, right? But this one is so cool, it's smokin'! Like the 52 Ampere +12V rail (and there's just the one +12V rail, so you don't have to balance your power needs by hand.). How about the ability to auto-sense your input voltage from 90Vac to 264Vac, 50/60Hz? No more voltage selector switches!
Run cooler, too, because it can be up to 80% efficient (tested at 20%, 50% and full load), meaning less waste heat from the supply. Compatible with both ATX 2.0 and ATX 2.2 systems, it includes long cables for even full-sized tower installations. Nvidia SLI support. It includes power connections for eight SATA drives. A 120mm variable speed fan with double bearings gives good airflow with minimal noise. Active power factor correction helps deal with inductive loads (drive and fan motors, mostly).
Give your computer a power supply that can keep up with the times.

perfect so far
- Pros: This PSU worked out of the box. Not one single problem, i suppose the first two guys with DOA's just got a bad lot. Anyhow, I LOVE the cabling, it installs very clean. More than enough hook-ups for 90% of people out there. 650w will run a pretty decent load even with a lot of SLI setups. Definitely recommend this PSU.
- Cons: none so far
- Other Thoughts: 100,000 MTBF means that if you left this running till it failed if would run for approx. 11 years. Look at the certifications and primarily the high potential amperages; this thing could power a welder if it needed to. Very robust.
- Pros: Stable voltage even under rather heavy load.
- Cons: The 2x 4 ATX12v wires were about 3" to short for my CM690 case.
- Other Thoughts: Corsair sure knows how to pack a box, it looked like you could drop the box from 10' and not hurt the psu inside.

Woot!
- Pros: Bought this to replace a PSU that got fried, got it installed with a little wiggling, was almost to big for my case (or maybe my case was just stubborn) turned it on and it powered right up, sounds great.
- Cons: Wouldnt call it a con, id rather have more then not enough but the cables can be rather space taking if your case is small, luckily ill be buying a new case soon.
- Other Thoughts: I'd buy it again, and now i got a Corsair PSU to match my Corsair ram, woot. :)
Works great
- Pros: This power supply is very high quality and good looking, almost to the point of being overkill. It came in a cloth drawstring bag then was encased in foam that fit it's contours perfectly, in a box, and then that was covered with cellophane, and shipped in a box loosely. The cabling is extremely nice, it has plastic like netting covering it and the next best thing is modular, but for the price this is a bargain and I didn't even want to spend over 50 bucks until I realized 80 plus could do good for the environment as well as make my room cooler. The fan in this thing barely even needs to spin because it's so efficient, I had a computer running on a 420W power supply that had a x800 and I upgraded to a x1900XT which needed 30 amps on the 12v line and this has way more then that. There's so little warm air coming out of this thing it makes me worried, but I'm assuming that's just the way it's going to feel unless I can start putting some hardware to draw more power from it.
- Cons: The fan may be quiet but if you listen very very closely right next to it it makes a squeeky sound, probably because the fan's axle is held upside down. The fan bothers me in a way because it's so quiet that I don't know if it's doing its job well enough, I'll have to trust it, but that's easy because of the quality of this product.
- Other Thoughts: This works great when combined with a zalman cnps10x quiet, because that stands for computer noise prevention system, and this power supply falls within the category of noise prevention in my book. If you have a 939 board like me and want to add better video cards, but you don't ever plan on buying two top of the line brand new ones any time soon, spend the extra money and get the corsair because it will power your next system whether it be AM3 or an i7, but when 6 core CPUs hit the market you're not going to want to be sitting around with a 450W power supply because that was the bare minimum, and you don't want to ruin $1,000 worth of parts because you wanted to use your freebie case power supply, my buddy did that and his chipset and video card went up in smoke and I got a free dual core CPU at the speed of the single core I had at the time :). The scary part is me and him had the same exact case and cpu, so it could have been me!
cool and quiet = less wasted sound and heat energy
Solid
- Pros: This is my third Corsair PS. Had to replace my Corsair 450VX as I just purchased Radeon 5850 and was afraid that my old ps would not handle it. This is a very reliable and very quiet power supply. Not sure if it is certified to run two 5850s in crossfire, but it certainly has no problems with one highly overclocked 5850. Five year warranty is a plus.
- Cons: None
- Other Thoughts: My two other corsair power supplies are still running (400 and 450VX). I bought this over a month ago and I hope it will run for the next five years. Another solid product from Corsair. Thanks!
