5 out of 5 eggsReliable

Pros: Had this since 2009 October, still kicking it. Survived two sudden blackouts. I have surge protector but I've had PSU that die even with a surge protector before.

Cons: Not Modular, not really not a big deal(it doesnt bother me)

5 out of 5 eggsStill going strong!

Pros: It's been in my rig for over 4 years now, nothing but smooth handling of my power hungry 955 BE and GTX260. I'm thinking about upgrading my rig soon, and I'll definitely be keeping this PSU.

Cons: It's not modular, but I knew that going in. Not a problem in my case, since I have a full tower, the unused medusa cords sit at the bottom of my case, not obstructing anything.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks fine 5 years later

Pros: The five year anniversary of this running a hefty computer (including SLI'd power hungry cards) without any problems is coming up in a month. Still going strong, I've never had any problems. Extremely solid power supply, supports everything I could throw at it, no regrets whatsoever.

Cons: Doesn't have modular cables, and there are a LOT of cables.

Other Thoughts: Corsair is a great brand for power supplies, I've owned a few of them and have never had problems.

5 out of 5 eggsVery quiet

Pros: It's very quiet and I like the sturdiness of the connectors. It's extremely heavy, which I was told by an engineer that that's a good way to tell. A good power supply needs lots of metal. Cheapos are very light.

Cons: The fan goes off at low nor no load, which is fine, except that I forgot it was on, being so use to my old loud PSUs. So I pulled a memory chip out, and ZAP! So too quiet. Board and memory are hosed. Don't know about the CPU.

Other Thoughts: I'm getting the modular one next time so I can reduce the cable tangle.

1 out of 5 eggsDOA

Pros: None that I saw

Cons: Dead out of the box. Huge in size and with the massive bundle of cables(pro?) it made it a paint to work with.

5 out of 5 eggsNew Build

Pros: I chose an over powered PS for future upgrades and this was exactly what a needed, priced right and burly enough to handle my current build and the upgrades I plan to install over the next year.

Cons: Wish the cable management on it was easier, but you know that going into it when you purchase it.

5 out of 5 eggsCornerstone of Corsair's Reputation

Pros: Good efficiency, relatively quiet (for what it is), generous supply of connections, rock solid 12v rail for enthusiasts.

Cons: Fairly large, lots of excess cabling. Clearly designed for a larger case, but most enthusiast level components are.

Other Thoughts: Purchased originally back in 2008 when the TX series supplies were labeled in that strange brown-orange lettering. Corsair were new to the power supply market but made a huge splash with this unit especially. Mine has run since day 1 powering an i5-750 running at a modest 4ghz aircooled overclock. I haven't lost any components to power failure or otherwise so that's a win in my book. I have heard that Corsair has experienced some periodic quality hangups over the last year or so - hopefully a trend that doesn't continue. If they continue selling PSUs with the same quality as the one in my PC, I will continue buying them for every PC I build.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome PSU

Pros: Gets me all the power I need. Will be adding a GPU soon so we'll see how it handles.

Cons: It crapped out on me after about three weeks, but I immediately got an RMA and had a new unit the next week. Good thing I had a back up unit. Can't really dock an egg for that though. Customer service was wonderful from Newegg.
