Okay, it's a power supply. Not much excitement there unless it starts smoking, right? 750 watts DOESN'T excite you? Maybe the 60 Ampere +12V rail (and there's just the one +12V rail, so you don't have to balance your power needs by hand.) will do the trick. How about the ability to auto-sense your input voltage from 90Vac to 264Vac, 50/60Hz? No more voltage selector switches!

Run cooler, too, because it can be up to 80% efficient (tested at 20%, 50% and full load), meaning less waste heat from the supply and smaller electrical bills.. Compatible with both ATX 2.0 and ATX 2.2 systems, it includes long cables for even full-sized tower installations. Nvidia SLI support. It includes power connections for eight SATA drives. A 140mm variable speed fan with double bearings gives good airflow with minimal noise. Active power factor correction helps deal with inductive loads (drive and fan motors, mostly).

5 out of 5 eggs24/7 usage... 2 years strong and counting!

Pros: I purchased this in April 2010 and it's been running ever since in a 24/7 environment... not a single problem. Lots of cables, to be sure... but if your good at cable management or have a case that allows for cable placement behind the mobo tray (like the HAF series), this is not an issue.

Cons: No cons of any kind... it's a workhorse that keeps going and keeps going strong.

5 out of 5 eggsQuality product

Pros: Lots of cables, and adequet length for a bottom mount PSU to reach top mount components.
Very quiet.

Cons: Lots of cables, kind of a rats nest, but not as much of an issue on a bottom mount PSU case (no stars deducted since I was aware this was not a module PSU when I purchased).

5 out of 5 eggsHow Long Will It Last?

Pros: Looks good, plenty of power and does everything I need! Almost 4 years old now! I couldn't ask for anything more.

Cons: None. No intermittent restarts or faulty voltage to the CPU or RAM, nothing.

Other Thoughts: As I said, this PSU is approaching 4 years old and I've had no issues. Been powering an Asus board and overclocking a Q6600 to 3.4 the entire time, rock solid not a single issue. Wish I could buy another one!

1 out of 5 eggsCauses Shutdowns

Pros: Feels solid?

Cons: Same problem many users are reporting...

Computer randomly powers off due to loose cables on the 24-pin connector. It's on its third day running and encountering random shut-downs. Not impressed.

Other Thoughts: Even worse I can't RMA through Newegg because I ordered the parts before winter break from college for a friend, didn't build and test until after (a month later).

Manufacturer Response:

We are sorry you are having PSU issues. Please submit and RMA and we'll replace it.

5 out of 5 eggsExciting

Pros: When I opened the box I just knew.
This power supply was right. It looks freakin' sweet, and has all the connectors you will need for everything(at least for me,they specify quite nicely).

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: This isn't really a con,but I found that given the case I'm using, (Antec Nine Hundred) there weren't many places to store the excess cables. It doesn't cause airflow issues, but it makes maintenance a pain,so keep in mind what case you purchase with this great Power Supply!

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Running an i5-2500k, 2G 6950, 4 LED case fans, 2 HDD, and one DVD drive. Braided cables look very nice in case.

Cons: A LOT of connectors, not necessarily a con, but made it kind of difficult to hide all of them in case. :)

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Have had this same power supply running on two systems now since 2008 and it's still going strong. Haven't had a since problem with this power supply.

Cons: Non modular but I knew that when I bought it so no reason to take an egg.

Other Thoughts: Corsair power supplies have proven themselves to me in the many builds I have used them on. I will continue to use them on future builds.

1 out of 5 eggsDOA, Didn't test a second

Pros: * 750W
* looks awesome

Cons: * DOA
* All the cables came in one bundle which made it pretty messy, because I had a lot of cables that I didn't use

Other Thoughts: Seemed okay. Build quality seemed good. But the thing didn't work at all when I was trying to power it up. Thought maybe it was another component because I had just done the build...then eventually found out that it was the power supply alone after subbing in an Antec power supply.

Manufacturer Response:

We are very sorry you got a DOA PSU. Please RMA it to Newegg or to Corsair directly and we will be happy to send you a replacement. Also, keep in mind a 750w PSU is designed to power a lot of devices which means it needs lots of cables and connectors. If cable management is an issue for you, you may want to consider a modular PSU.
