1 out of 5 eggsI wouldent reccomend it.

Pros: It turn on?

Cons: Bought it back in 2010/11, from the first day of using it, it made a horrible squealing sound, it sounded like a electronic vibrating noise, (best way I can describe it). I still use it to this day tho, it dosent bother me so much since I use headphones. I just thought I'd share this in case anyone was interested in buying it. Woulda RMA'd it earlier but lost the box, just recently came upon it again so Will hope to have them replace it..

Also, I've read on fourms that other people have the same problem with this PSU, so I would stay away from it.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Dre,

We're sorry to hear about your power supply making odd noises. If you haven't already, filled out an RMA form on our Support page and we'll be more than happy to replace it for you.

Thank you,
Corsair Customer Support

5 out of 5 eggsReliable PSU

Pros: Has given me no issues for almost 2 years. Components are high quality and the cables are wrapped to keep things neat inside the case. Plenty of connections for my purposes, too.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I initially bought a Rosewill PSU and it fried several components. I spent a little more and bought one of these. 2 years later, everything is running smoothly.

Big thumbs down to Rosewill. Big thumbs up to Corsair.

5 out of 5 eggsStill going!

Pros: Good, cheap replacement for one that failed by another company.

Cons: Not modular. :(

Other Thoughts: I purchased this in Dec 08 and it's still going strong. And I leave my PC on 24/7.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat little supply

Pros: - Inexpensive
- Reliable
- Quiet

Cons: - Not available anymore? This makes me sad.

Other Thoughts: I bought this a little while ago for a build that never went through. I finally got a chance to use it in a build and it's awesome. Not trying to power Crossfire 7970s with an i7 3960X, but for a budget supply meant to power a nice, efficient PC, it's pretty excellent.

Pros: Nice looking - great price after Rebate

Cons: Died after less than an hour's use. Now I get to see what the Warranty is worth.

5 out of 5 eggsGood PSU

Pros: Have had for about 6 months no problems at all, runs super quiet. It runs--
AMD 2.7Ghz dual core
2GB DDR2
120 GB HD
nVidia 8800 GT.

Cons: Nadda

Other Thoughts: Don't hesitate to buy because of the low wattage. It can handle anything you throw at it.

4 out of 5 eggsDied after two years

Pros: Bought it in October 2009. Used it on a PC that was hooked up to my TV for Netflix, video streaming, DVDs, etc. Worked great. I had the PC set up to go into standby mode after about two hours. Worked great!

Cons: I say "worked" cause it died yesterday.

Other Thoughts: It was good while it lasted!

2 out of 5 eggsPower supply went bad after 2 years

Pros: Was working well for 2 years
RMA process was simple no problem with Corsair customer service

Cons: No longer working after 2 years
No return center in Canada

Other Thoughts: Something I did not know about Corsair is that they do not have a return center in Canada and you have to pay for return shipping even when still under warranty. This effectively, renders the warranty of inexpensive item useless. Something to keep in mind when comparing similar item.

2 out of 5 eggsswitching noise

Pros: It has worked fine since July. Until today, I used it on an entertainment computer hooked up to my TV, so it's on for a few hours nearly every day.

Cons: It emits an really annoying high-pitched hiss when the CPU changes frequency (AMD cool n' quiet). I finally figured out the change in loading conditions led to states with audible switching noise. Normally the switching should be too high a frequency for humans (especially adult males) to hear, but this power supply sucks in a special way.

Other Thoughts: I'll stick to other brands, I guess. I had never tried Corsair power supplies before, and the reviews were good, so I gave it a shot. I regret that.
