If you're looking for a power supply to feed your hungry system, look no further. The new TX850W PSU from Corsair puts out an impressive 850 watts of power and supports the latest ATX12V v2.2 standards as well as EPS12V 2.91 standards. The unit is 80 Plus certified and has a 99% Active Power Factor Correction to ensure maximum efficiency.
The cables are extra long to work in the largest tower. They are fully sleeved for easy routing and bundling. There are four 8-pin PCIe power connectors so you can build up a CrossFire or SLI system using today’s high end video cards. There are also 8 SATA and 8 Molex connectors so you can connect multiple drives and peripherals.
Keeping it all cool is a temperature-controlled 140mm fan. Air is vented through the hexagon mesh back panel. The universal input accepts voltages from 90-264 so you no longer have to worry if the switch was in the right position.

*BEAST*
- Pros: Very good PSU for the money. The 12v rail and ampere is amazing for this PSU. Quiet, cables are nice and long. Tears through everything, of course not 3-way sli with 280's lol but you get the point. ummmmm.... its CORSAIR
- Cons: LOADS OF CABLES lol. Its not a bad thing for me, i got the Antec twelve hundred and the cable management is amazing, a lot better than most cases but if you have a mid tower case with no cable management options, i suggest you try a modular PSU because you may have a lot of trouble with all these wires.
- Other Thoughts: The people that take off 1 egg just because this PSU is not modular need to stop. Of course its not modular, look at the pictures, if you want modular so badly, go out and buy a modular PSU than, dont take off 1 egg just because something thats good is not modular, its very stupid and ignorant.
High quality power supply
- Pros: High quality power supply from the crinkle black finish to the tasteful yellow graphics. Corsair is the Mercedes of power supplies. It's quiet and has more then enough power for all but the most powerful systems.
- Cons: Not truly a con but there are just too many wires. If you have a small case be aware that cable management will be difficult.
- Other Thoughts: For the price the best power supply you can buy. This is my second Corsair unit and both have functioned perfectly. And Corsair has instituted a new web based rebate system that is effortless and quick.

5v rail dead?
- Pros: It came in a neat velveteen bag(why, who knows?)
- Cons: Crapped out after about 10 minutes of total use. Brand new motherboard's LED's flash and no POST-- mb manufacturer said this is a problem with 5v rail on the psu. Tried another PSU, and the motherboard works there. Clearly a bad PSU.
- Other Thoughts: Now I have to deal with the dreaded RMA process. RMA's are one of the few times I wish I dealt with brick and mortar instead of online......
cool
- Pros: it works good
- Cons: none
AWESOME
- Pros: This baby is amazing, pumps out 70 watts and just doesnt budge! there is also an 8-pin CPU thing compared to the 4-pin on my previous one. also a great improvement from a 350 watt generic PSU, this 850Watt corsair is the stuff of legends!
- Cons: A little pricey, but it is corsair, mine never failed me. a bit too many cables and im afraid top cut them off due to possible necessity
- Other Thoughts: what kind of motherboard supports 6-way sli? you could litterally power 2 computers with this thing
