4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Easy Installation
Quailty Feel
Nice Packaging
Lots of options for modular cabling

Cons: Fan won't spin up

Other Thoughts: Only thing that is confusing to me is why the fan will never spin up, according to other reviews it only spins when needed but even when my system reaches 75 degrees celsius it does not spin up.

5 out of 5 eggsUpdate from 4 to 5 stars

Pros: I'm updating b/c of Corsairs FANTASTIC Customer Service. It still runs quiet and has powered up to 4 HDD, 1 SSD and 1 DVD-R without any problems. Love it !!

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Just be careful of the SATA connectors. They replaced mine on a 'no return' RMA

3 out of 5 eggsIt popped... !

Pros: I run an 850HX in my personal rig.. it powers 4 drives, an SSD, good GPU, QUAD core CPU that is always running at least 1 VM, some high end RAM... & maybe im playing a game while the rig streams HDMI video upstairs to TV. NEVER an issue. They are usually rock solid under heavy strain.
-i would usually highly promote these. But in the last 2 week i have had 2 pop. one on a NAS using hardly any power at all. -defect

Cons: manufacturer defect

Other Thoughts: I know this is highly ab-normal for this product line..

2 out of 5 eggsAwesome, While it Worked

Pros: Quiet, Cool, Efficient, Plenty of Power

Cons: Failed after 5 months. Issues on high end system started after 3-4 months it would boot after trying to resume after just being put to sleep which I thought to be a driver issue but then figured out it was this psu. then one night an electrical smell and within seconds done. Took it to local computer shop just to verify on psu tester that it was completely toasted not putting out anything. Corsair warranty is a pain to deal with. Went to website, said to call, called, lady says to go to website. Finally i got to the right place which i am convinced they are hiding on purpose and needed the "part number" but all that is on the psu itself is a "model number" so i had to do some research to track down the part number which isn't even on newegg that i could find.

Other Thoughts: When it works its great. Mine failed and warranty replacement is like pulling teeth. Would have been five eggs until it took a dump and now I have to use my old desktop from the 90s for weeks while they take there time sending a new one

5 out of 5 eggsQuite while under load.

Pros: The 1/2 modular design works well. Plenty of connecting cables to meet your needs.

Fan only powers up when it needs to cool things down vs constantly running.

Very quite while under full load.

Cons: No cons

4 out of 5 eggskind of dissapointed

Pros: almost silent

Cons: the big beefy power cord it came with did not make a good connection and i thought this PSU was DOA but i turned my pc sideways and the cord pressed up against the wall and the pc came on so i then realized that it was the cord and i pulled out a little old power cord that was powering a 220 watt cheapo stock psu in an old HP computer and its working fine now

Other Thoughts: over kill for my current build but i got this because i know i will be upgrading to 2 video cards and a better processor or the future.
