5 out of 5 eggsVery impressive

This review is from: CORSAIR HX Series HX750 750W ATX12V 2.3 / EPS12V 2.91 SLI CrossFire 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: Solid build thing weighs a ton!
Fan is super quite...99% of time it doesn't even kick on, I'm not running dual cards but a single card that requires 300W and even gaming doesn't need to turn on

Cons: None, hopefully it stays that way!

Other Thoughts: It may be more then you need to spend but would say if you plan on getting 2 cards good price for what you get

5 out of 5 eggsThey're still making these?!

This review is from: CORSAIR HX Series HX750 750W ATX12V 2.3 / EPS12V 2.91 SLI CrossFire 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: No problems so far - and I ordered mine at the tail end of 2011! A great PSU with amazing abilities even today, which may be why they're still making them.

Cons: Velvet bag disintegrated after two years in the closet. =(

1 out of 5 eggsPopped and Smoked...DOA

This review is from: CORSAIR HX Series HX750 750W ATX12V 2.3 / EPS12V 2.91 SLI CrossFire 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: Nice boxing and modular design. That's all I can really say though.

Cons: Never had a chance to test this PSU because as soon as it started to power on for the 1st time it popped and started smoking. Won't power on at all now of course. RMA started with Newegg for refund and ordered a different brand PSU. couldn't wait because I need to make sure nothing else was fried when the PSU quit so I can have this situation resolved in time to have this system good to go for my kids Christmas.

Other Thoughts: I've heard this PSU was noisy which, in addition to having the unit burn up on me gave me more than enough reason to go with a refund and select a different brand.

5 out of 5 eggs

This review is from: CORSAIR HX Series HX750 750W ATX12V 2.3 / EPS12V 2.91 SLI CrossFire 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: Worked for my gaming rig for nearly 3 years.

Cons: See other thoughts.

Other Thoughts: Bought in January 2012 for my new gaming rig. Writing this review because I believe it's finally stopping working as well. Computer is now shutting down and restarting randomly (restarting due to the power surge it's hooked up to probably - the whole thing turns off when the PC does). Nothing has changed, so I don't believe it would be the surge protector or anything, and most sites online say that it's likely the power supply. Guess I'll find out one way or another. But I'm assuming nearly 3 years is pretty good, since I see a lot of other reviews about power supplies busting in 3 months to a year. So, take it as it is, I guess.

2 out of 5 eggsPricey Replacement

This review is from: CORSAIR HX Series HX750 750W ATX12V 2.3 / EPS12V 2.91 SLI CrossFire 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: Modular

Cons: Broke within three months of use. Started to detect failure when PC would suddenly shut down while in use. Ultimately it wouldn't turn on (no fans even). That said, things break and Corsair is my go to PSU brand so I gave them the benefit of the doubt.

Then came the return process...despite the problem being their PSU failing...I had to pay for return shipping. In addition, I had to put a hold on my account for the retail value of the unit in order for them to ship (takes a week to arrive) a replacement before they received my return. Very aggravating.

1 out of 5 eggsEpic Fails!

This review is from: CORSAIR HX Series HX750 750W ATX12V 2.3 / EPS12V 2.91 SLI CrossFire 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: none - I've owned two of these and both were epic fail.

Cons: Replaced 2 of these this year in same pc...First one lasted 4 months and second lasted almost 5 months. Both had same problem power would randomly cut off during gaming, browsing, or whatever for no reason and after 4-5 months it just stopped turning on.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat so far.

This review is from: CORSAIR HX Series HX750 750W ATX12V 2.3 / EPS12V 2.91 SLI CrossFire 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: -The PSU is modular making it very easy to cable manage.
-The cables are braided which is a nice touch
-Text on the side is blue which matches my build
-Packaging was great...all that velvet.
-Stable..overclocked my RAM, CPU and GPU no problem.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: The PSU runs very quiet...almost too quiet; as in my fan has never turned on. I'm not sure if this is a defect or not. As explained before my RAM, CPU, And GPU are overclocked and the fan hasn't turned on at all, nor has the PSU gotten dangerously hot under load. Crazy efficiency or defective? Not sure but either way im covered under warranty :D.

5 out of 5 eggsNicely Built PSU

This review is from: CORSAIR HX Series HX750 750W ATX12V 2.3 / EPS12V 2.91 SLI CrossFire 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: -Got this to replace a 6 year old corsair 550 Watt PSU that failed. I was happy with the old one, so I figured I'd be happy with this power supply. I was right.

-Modular cables are a nice plus (Corsair was thoughtful enough to provide a storage bag for them)

-Voltages are spot on and don't drift, even when artificially heavy loads are applied to my system (running Prime95 and Furmark concurrently).

-Quiet/Efficient. The fan even stops at times when the load is below a certain threshold.

-Heavy. A sign of quality components inside.

Cons: I haven't encountered any cons thus far.

Other Thoughts: If the unit survives past the warranty period like the last one I had I'll be happy.

5 out of 5 eggsCorsair 750W Professional Series

This review is from: CORSAIR HX Series HX750 750W ATX12V 2.3 / EPS12V 2.91 SLI CrossFire 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: Lasted Four Years. rebate was nice. Corsair Warranty.
Everyone great at Corsair in Fremont, CA
When it failed it did not take the computer with it.
Velvet bag was nice for other uses.

Cons: Did not take computer with it to the grave. No sparks nor fireworks at demise. Reliable for 4 did not make it to 5 year warranty.
Died on a weekend.
Always refused to make coffee or breakfast at all...

Other Thoughts: I own over twenty (that's right twenty of the exact same unit). First failure out of twenty!! Feel as though I got and am still getting my money's worth from Corsair
