5 out of 5 eggsGreat Power supply, low noise...especially while idle

This review is from: CORSAIR HX Series HX750 750W ATX12V 2.3 / EPS12V 2.91 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: Plenty of power to support 1 or 2 GTX 680 cards, 4+ SSD/HDDs, and my 3770k i7. Fan is pretty quiet, can hear it spinning up only if it's under extreme load (and I'm listening for it), dead silent when it turns off (under 20% load). Not "silent" but quiet enough for my needs...I wear headphones 75% of the time anyway.

Cons: Super minor - fan makes a somewhat loud noise when it disengages but it's on-par with the rest of the fan noise (i.e. not that loud).

Other Thoughts: Great power supply for $110, more than enough for the next few iterations of my machine. was able to sustain a failed auxiliary power supply and just move everything over to this PSU and was only off-line for a few minutes.

5 out of 5 eggsQuality product

This review is from: CORSAIR HX Series HX750 750W ATX12V 2.3 / EPS12V 2.91 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: Well, it works, and I'm not sure what else I'd want from my PSU. I have a lot of wattage to spare before I begin to approach 750 watts with my PC, but under current loads, the HX750 is quiet and does its job. I was impressed by Corsair's packaging and the included pouch for all the modular cables. If you can get it on sale and save a few bucks, which I did, you should be pleased.

Cons: None, really. See my "other thoughts."

Other Thoughts: I kept vacillating between this model and the RM750, but decided to spend a little extra, given what I saw in reviews for both PSUs, and I'm satisfied with my choice. Also, when I first received it, I was a little astounded and confused by the size of the box it comes in, but then it made sense when I opened the box. The unit itself is just large enough that it encroaches on the space in my case where a fan can be mounted on the bottom, but I can't really fault the PSU nor the case for this; the PSU has to be the size it is (which isn't really that big), and my case can't realistically accommodate every possible component or configuration. The case will be swapped for an upgrade eventually anyway, and this HX750 will go in that case too.

5 out of 5 eggsOustanding PSU

This review is from: CORSAIR HX Series HX750 750W ATX12V 2.3 / EPS12V 2.91 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: This power supply is super quiet and installed easy in terms of its chassis and set screws. The modular input connectors are built well into the body with very little movement or "play". It handles my system and looks like it will handle any upgrade I undertake within the next few years. Stellar PSU best I have owned yet.

Cons: The one gripe I have here and this may be more on the case side is that the cable management was a pain in the a**. The cables are super rigid and even though I can manipulate them to fit, they expand to whatever angle the force of the cable dictates. I have an H600 ATX so if this is your case, get ready to bend your outer casing just a bit to accommodate the 24 pin and the like.

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic product

This review is from: CORSAIR HX Series HX750 750W ATX12V 2.3 / EPS12V 2.91 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: Modular
You can see how corsair take care of everything, little bag to put unused modular cable, power supply came in a fancy textile bag...

Everything with this psu feels premium!

All cable are wrapped with textile for better cable management

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: have no doubt

Buy this!

1 out of 5 eggsHX750 dead after 2 hours

This review is from: CORSAIR HX Series HX750 750W ATX12V 2.3 / EPS12V 2.91 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: Modular design, quiet, price

Cons: A bit bulky but that's understandable

Other Thoughts: PS was dead after 2 hours of use. system started to shutdown and reboot and continued faster and faster until it did not start at all. At first I thought it was the mother board but then I tested the PS on a different unit and found it dead. I have had good luck with Corsairi in the past and this experience, although annoying, I will overlook as long as newegg replaces quickly.

5 out of 5 eggsVery impressive

This review is from: CORSAIR HX Series HX750 750W ATX12V 2.3 / EPS12V 2.91 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: Solid build thing weighs a ton!
Fan is super quite...99% of time it doesn't even kick on, I'm not running dual cards but a single card that requires 300W and even gaming doesn't need to turn on

Cons: None, hopefully it stays that way!

Other Thoughts: It may be more then you need to spend but would say if you plan on getting 2 cards good price for what you get

5 out of 5 eggsThey're still making these?!

This review is from: CORSAIR HX Series HX750 750W ATX12V 2.3 / EPS12V 2.91 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: No problems so far - and I ordered mine at the tail end of 2011! A great PSU with amazing abilities even today, which may be why they're still making them.

Cons: Velvet bag disintegrated after two years in the closet. =(
