The cables are extra long, to work in the largest tower. They are fully sleeved for easy routing and bundling. There are six 8-pin PCIe power connectors so you can build up a CrossFire or SLI system using today’s high end video cards. There are also 12 SATA and 12 Molex connectors so you can connect multiple drives and peripherals.

Keeping it all cool is a temperature-controlled 140mm fan. Air is vented through the hexagon mesh back panel. The universal input accepts voltages from 90V to 264V so you no longer have to worry if the switch was in the right position.

1 out of 5 eggsUnreliable

Pros: It came with a nice case and lots of cords.

Cons: Completely unreliable.

Other Thoughts: First came DOA
After I replaced the DOA, the replacement a few months later.
I would not recommend this PSU if you want something that you can count on.

1 out of 5 eggsDies for no reason

Pros: when it works, my computer works

Cons: It just dies for no reason. random drives will just stop getting power, and if I play a game or watch a movie on my computer, the entire computer shuts down and resets - sometimes unable to reboot at all because my HDD isn't getting any power.

Other Thoughts: Wouldn't recommend this product or brand given my experience.

2 out of 5 eggsDied so sad!!!!

Pros: Worked well for 1 yr. No problems running in my computer until last night.

Cons: Lasted only 1 year.

Other Thoughts: I have built over 50 computers this year and almost exclusively use corsair as I am usually happy with their product. Sad that the computer I built for myself the PSU didn't last very long at all. I only hope that my customers don't experience the same result in such a short time.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Buy

Pros: - I don't think the fan ever came on, but of course it was designed for that
- This thing lasted almost five years. I'm a semi-hardcore gamer, and I definitely got my use out of it.
- Powered my beast like a pro

Cons: - Only con is WHY did it die on me. It was working fine the night before, and I go to turn it on in the morning, and nothing. Considering though, I needed an upgrade anyway, so that's not much of a con.

Other Thoughts: I would totally recommend it. No idea if this thing is discontinued though.

5 out of 5 eggsNo Complaints and a Solid Quiet Performer

Pros: It's a big power supply but modular cables make it more manageable. It's very a lot quieter than the 700W it replaced.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: It's been in use for over a year & I hope it goes the distance. I am now protecting all my PC's with Series Mode power filters that should help out a lot.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Power Supply

Pros: I have now been using his Power Supply for roughly a year and a half. Has not failed, is very quiet and looks quite good in my case. Corsair products have never failed me so far and i would recommend this to anyone for anything. I have no experience with Corsair customer service, and at this point, that is a very good thing. (:

Cons: None so far. Almost two years and going strong.
