Excellent PSU
- Pros: - Corsair Quality
- Less expensive than the 620HX - Bronze certified - Modular - Enough amps on the 12v rail to not have to worry - Looks sweet
- Cons: Doesn't make me breakfast T_T
- Pros: Modular, though not completely. Was going to go with a 750TX, but decided I didn't want to deal with cables. Powering my 5850 and the rest of my system just fine, hope to add another 5850 down the road.
- Cons: NO VELVET BAG?! This is actually a pro for me.
- Other Thoughts: It's a power supply. Don't buy non-name brand power supplies. A quality power supply is essential as a power supply kill your entire rig if it goes out in a smokey fiery inferno.
Can't go wrong with Corsair.
7 year warranty is more like it!
- Pros: Well packaged. Plenty of modular cables in nice little storage pouch with velcro fastener. Works as promised out of the box. Very quiet. Japanese solid state capacitors. And best of all - a 7 year warranty! What's not to like? No buyer's remorse here!
- Cons: None
- Other Thoughts: This PSU replaced an Antec Phantom 500 fanless PSU that went bad after 2.5 years. I originally bought the Phantom 500 to minimize noise, but I honestly can't tell the difference between the Phantom 500 and the Corsair 650HX as far as noise goes. Hopefully, because the Corsair 650HX has a fan, it will run cooler and last longer than the Phantom 500.
