5 out of 5 eggsToo Many Cords

Pros: Works flawlessly

Cons: So many cables at least I have the huge Thor V2 case so I can deal with them, but I couldn't imagine this thing in a medium sized tower

5 out of 5 eggslong lasting PSU, shame it's discontinued

Pros: after 5 years, my PSU has given me no problems, aside from fitting the cables. This thing is a Kraken unleashed in my pc, and stillhandles an overclocked Vishera and 2 HD 7970's without heating much or making noise (or at least, no noise that can be heard over my GPU fans.)

Cons: not modular, discontinued on newegg.

5 out of 5 eggs3 years of Solid Performance

Pros: Great PSU, great bang-for-the-buck equipment. Although it's not modular, I use all the trees anyway, so I get to bankroll the difference. Small size, quiet fan, single 12v rail with more than enough headroom for my G1.Assassin, i7 930, dual GTX570's and Coolit Freezone Elite, plus fans, fans, and more fans.

Cons: none

1 out of 5 eggsWent out in a puff of smoke after ONE DAY!!!

Pros: Lot of connectors and great reputation.

Cons: Smells really bad when burns.

Other Thoughts: I've had this PSU for about two years as a backup and have never really needed it till a day ago when I decided to put together a new system. The PSU has been running for a little less than 12 hours when suddenly the system completely shut down and there was a puff of smoke coming from the PSU. I hope that it is under warranty and that no other part of the system fried as a result of this "wonderful" unit. Gave it one egg for the reputation and plethora of connectors.

1 out of 5 eggsNot that great of a psu

Pros: It comes with a nice bag and I haven't had any noise issues.

Cons: I have had to RMA 2 of these in the past couple months. Its really frustrating when your gaming computer goes down for a couple weeks because of the long rma process and the $30 of shipping the defective psu back to corsair

1 out of 5 eggsFailing after less than a year

Pros: No noise issues, worked fine for about 8 months.

Cons: Had the power supply for under a year. Computer is now showing signs of a failing power supply. I'm worried that if I keep this thing running any longer, it will fry one of my components.

Other Thoughts: Currently trying to get it replaced by Newegg. Very unimpressed with Corsair.

1 out of 5 eggsHope they pull through with warranty

Pros: Nice wattage and cords

Cons: Supply became very flaky and wouldn't power up all the time. Now it buzzes very loudly like a swarm of bees and sounds like it's about to die. I don't even have to run any programs, and it buzzes very loud.

Other Thoughts: I don't know...hopefully Corsair pulls through with their warranty.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat PSU!

Pros: -Long cables
-can handle very heavy load!
-Sleeved (thats if you do not plan to do custom sleeving)

Cons: -Non modular (but I knew bout this so its not really a con to me, its more of a wish it was, but hey! it wont get those fluctuations that modular PSU's get since this is non-modular)

Other Thoughts: Had it for 5 mo's and never had any problems to it, So I did a custom sleeving thus voiding warranty, but I trust corsair and I believe this will last me for 2yrs. I am only using about 600Watts of its total Official capacity of 950.

Saw some tests from few PC forums about this PSU and this thing can actually take abou 1055Watts and its melting point(when it stops working completely due to overload) is at 1125 watts so even if you say you have 900Watts under this, this thing should be able to handle that power easily.

And it was actually rated Silver Certified but Corsair thinks that in real world temperatures/useage this thing will only go Bronze, so they put knock it back to Bronze certification, thats just show how Corsair don't want to lure customers coz of "false" advertising.

if you got a big case and future plans of Crossfire/SLI and alot of other stuff to power in your PC, this is the best one to get in non-modular PSU's no questions asked.

4 out of 5 eggsAlso had random shutdowns

Pros: Plenty of connections, more amps on a single rail than I would ever use.

Cons: Had similar problem as Marx, random hard shutdowns, and reboots started occuring after one year. First I thought it was my mobo, which I RMA'd, when that did not solve it, I RMA'd PSU, which seems to have solved the problem.

Other Thoughts: Corsair RMA was painless and straight forward. They RMA'd it without hassle, I did it when I was leaving for out of town, when I came back the new psu was waiting for me.
