4 out of 5 eggsCorsair Enthusiast Series TX650 V2 PSU

Pros: Great power supply, Gets the job done, Corsair

Cons: Fan doesn't spin.

Other Thoughts: Deserves 5 eggs but I put 4 only because the fan doesn't spin for some reason... I just noticed this yesterday after owning it for about a month. I don't know if its suppose to not be on until it starts to over heat or not but so far i have not seen my PSU fan spin.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat PSU. New Tech. Dumb buyer

Pros: So i found out, that the fan actually doesnt stay on 100% of the time, only spins up when it gets warm. Didn't know of this new addition to the corsair TX line... >_> so when i jumped it, thought it was DoA.

Solid build as always from Corsair. Now i own the TX650, TX750, and TX850. Great idea for not consistent powered fan, probably increases fan life as well. Price was decent (<$60 after MIR).

Always happy with corsair products.

Cons: It trolled me XD. Aside from that, none.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat PSU/Not so great rebate

Pros: Great PSU in terms of stability and cooling. A nice hefty weight for bottom mounted towers. Fan is large and quiet with no LED lights which is nice after my old OCZ Fatality PSU made my tower look like it was a spaceship with the bottom LED lights.

Cons: This a NON modular PSU. EVERY cable is attached in there and it gets cluttered quickly. If you get a tower, I highly recommend getting one that has enough room to route the wires on the outside panel motherboard back side. Otherwise all the wires are going to be just lying around and obstructing air flow. They are nice and sheathed but I think for the price, it could've been partially modular especially the extra molex and sata power lines.

Other Thoughts: REBATE sucks. They only give you 21 days to postmark the rebate. 21 days from the order date, not from the day you receive it. Compared to other companies that give you over a month usually, it is a shame since the rebate promotion is always ongoing and they won't retro your purchase for new promotion. Basically if you get it 4-5 days after your purchase, take 2-3 days to test and set up your system, you're left with less than 2 weeks to full use your system before you cut out that UPC barcode, which means afterwards there's no returning. And that's if you start building it right away with all the pieces there. I myself like to take my time and build a new PC like a hobbyist builds a model. I think it wouldn't hurt Corsair to at least add another week to the rebate qualification time or give customers the opportunity to retro their purchase for the new rebate since it's the same darn thing. 21 days postmarked from date of purchase seems really short for a rebate compared to other companies. Also, what if you aren't a pro at PCs or run into a problem you can't narrow down. Wouldn't hurt to have another week.

1 out of 5 eggsDoA

Pros: None atm

Cons: Unit DoA. Always do my initial test by jumping green and a black wire to see if it powers up. Turns on for a second, then off.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great no complaint here

Pros: great power supply no problems.
not extremely loud
easy to install

Cons: way too many cables, then again it was my fault for not getting a modular power supply.

Other Thoughts: its still up and running after a year of use, no problem with it.
i will probably upgrade to a modular supply for cable management.

I will say this, if you have an Antec DF85 fulll tower, the cable management is messy, or maybe im not very good at it.
if someone has this case an PSU, let em know what you did.
