5 out of 5 eggsStill going strong

Pros: Never had an issue with it, 4 years and it's still perfect.

Cons: The cords on the inside are pretty stiff so it can be really difficult to manage the cables but it's fairly standard for non modular PSU.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Power

Pros: Easy to install, lots of cords, lots of connectors, cords have good length, wrapped cords make cord management easier, runs quiet, dependable. Bought to for my new photo/video editing build and ran it for 8 months in my old system while I gathered components for my new build. Runs just as great in my new tower as my old one.

Cons: The wrapped cords and excess length can be a real issue for those with tight cases. I just upgraded from a regular (an old C*oler Master Centurion) to a mid-tower case (AnT*ch Three Hundred Two) and boy it was nice having the extra space for these cables in the new tower. It was quite a tight fit in my old tower.

Other Thoughts: You may need to get some adapters for legacy hardware components if you are like me and hang on to old things that still work and keep transferring them to new builds.

5 out of 5 eggsCorsair

Pros: PSU has a solid feel to it. Cables are all wrapped. Providing good power to my system and I have been gaming for 4 days straight after installing it to make sure it can hold up.

Cons: None at the moment. Though if anything happens, I will come back and modify my review.

Other Thoughts: I got the 850W version.
It's powering an i7 920 OC'd to 3.8 with HT off, ASUS, X58 mobo, 8GB RAM, 1.5TB drive, 2 SSD's, 9 fans, DVD drive, a 560Ti and a GTX 260 for PhysX. This thing hasn't let me down so far.

Pros: Well it turns on with lots of power.

Cons: The thing sounds like hard drive... Horrible fan noise... the fan slowly spins making a click click tick tick... till it gets hotter then well its still noisy but sounds more normal...

Other Thoughts: wouldn't buy this thing again that's for sure....

5 out of 5 eggsNo complaints

Pros: Owned this for more than a year after having another PSU burn my old computer. After extensively researching on HardOCP and other sites, I settled on this PSU. No regrets.
Lives up to it's claim on ErP-compliance and good energy efficiency.
Quiet, no noise at all in my case. Exhaust is cold. Cables more than long enough to route behind the motherboard.

Despite my efforts, I can't seem to get the voltage on any of the rails to deviate more than 1%. Very stable unlike my old PSU which would fluctuate damagingly under varying load.

Cons: Not Modular :(

Other Thoughts: Corsair Obsidian 550D Case with 4 high performance 14cm fans.
MSI GTX 570 Frozr 3 OC to 800Mhz core.
i5 3450 @ 4Ghz
Asus Z77 Sabertooth Motherboard.
2 HDDs and 1 SSD.

1 out of 5 eggsJunk

Pros: Powerful enough to run my system, Was packaged nicely.

Cons: Psu failed out after 3 weeks of use. Its Emitting a high pitched sqeal from its internals.

Other Thoughts: I bought this PSU because i was looking for something powerful but, a 1000 watt psu was a bit overkill. I WAS a corsair enthusiast, my rig being made up of mostly corsair products. I bought my first of these psu's and when I took it out of the box, there was a cable pulled right out of the back of the cpu. I took it back and got another. This one, after 3 weeks of ownership, started emitting a high pitched squeal that would drown out even my headphones. I contacted Corsair VIA the web and they sent me an RMA which is great EXCEPT I have to pay for the shipping to them on top of the fact that I will be without a CPU until they send one back to me? I have lost faith In this company. My Case came to me all bent and banged up, I have had a dead stick of ram right out of the box and now a junk PSU. Even at this price point, I could have bought a nicer PSU from another company but I was a loyal customer until this. They should either have a printable pre paid postage rma stamp or, send out a new PSU and have the customer send out the old broken one.
