5 out of 5 eggsSolid Power Supply, Very Quiet

Pros: Very quiet. After 2 years of ownership this power supply is still going strong, and I have yet to hear any loud fan noises or 'whining' coming from the PSU. Plus at 800W I can easily install the latest generation of NVidia GPUs without having to worry about power capacity (going SLI may a different story).

LED color options (red, blue, white, none) makes this power supply very versatile across many cases and build themes.

Cons: I regret not buying the modular version of this PSU (I forget, was there even a modular version of this product to begin with)?

The cables are extremely bulky and can limit proper airflow/cooling with bad cable management. Luckily my case had space behind the motherboard, so I hid all the unused power cables there.

Other Thoughts: The industry as a whole needs to start phasing out non-modular power supplies. Modular is the way to go for practically any build (workstation, small form-factor, etc) in terms of cooling and cable management; the only thing non-modular PSUs have going for them is their cost-efficiency. But trust me, after a year or two of owning a traditional PSU, you'll wish you had spent the extra $30-$40 on a modular one.

5 out of 5 eggsReliable and Quiet

Pros: This power supply has lasted me a little over two years and it works as well now as it did the day I got it. Very quiet. Looks pretty nice too. Also has plenty of power for the majority of people.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: The power supply is something that people tend to overlook. A good power supply is worth its weight in gold! After using this power supply with several graphics cards, motherboards and CPUs. I can say that I am very happy with this purchase. Even after two years I would not hesitate to put this PSU in my next build.

5 out of 5 eggs2 Years and running

Pros: More than enough power for my rig.

It has lasted over 2 years, not much to say after that :)

My house has bad electrical work, electricity tends to cut in and out. This psu has held its own and has never shorted on me once.

Cons: None so far...

1 out of 5 eggsJunk

Pros: worked until it caught fire

Cons: Sata connector burst into flames taking my less than a week old OCZ vector SSD with it. Not sure what else may have been damaged, ordering different PSU to assess damage. Will be contacting Corsair regarding reimbursement for damaged equipment.

Other Thoughts: Do not buy this power supply, it obviously has no short or over current protection that works.

3 out of 5 eggsIt's Bad Guys....

Pros: Switchable Lights I guess...
(and Corsair Sticker)

Cons: This is my second try with this PSU...

First, i had the V2 with the blue replaceable thingy uptop, and stop fan feature. And the fan controller was at the point where he couldn't decide, he want to power the fan or not. So it just spinned up for a few sec then stopped, on an endless loop with a huge-huge fan bearing noise. (There are some videos on YT about that.)

Then I asked the shop, can they change mine with the V1. (It hasn't got yet the auto fan stopping controller) They actually did changed it within a few weeks and I was soo happy when i plugged in everything then powered up the system.
No fan stopping, no huge fan noise, nothing! It was great!

Then i realized the SATA power plug was wrongly oriented. If your PC Case is one of those "newer" type with bottom PSU placement, and you care about have things looking in your case, then you gonna have a baaaad time. Because you have to place the HDDs upside down, which looks horrible. It's not the worst thing ever, but yet, it is frustrating...

Then about a month later the fan started doing the typical fan bearing noise...

I'ts not Corsair Quality.... I'm outta here.

Other Thoughts: Listen to the reviews above and under me.

2 out of 5 eggsPure Garbage!

Pros: The ONLY cool thing that made me happy was the cool lights, choose you color kind of thing.

Cons: Work without trouble, problems and or even noise/sounds for only 35 days. Then sound issues with the fan would come and go as it pleased, had nothing to do with what it was powering other then what was and wasn't pulling active vs. standby power. Now, seven months later it has burned out......? What's up with this, now CORSAIR says they need me to wait 2-3 weeks for a replacement. They won't even allow me to put a hold on my credit card for an advanced replacement.

Such a joke as for being a professional creditable company if you ask me. There is no such things as a company with creditable reputation anymore. My advice go by an XFX product or Rosewill, Cooler Master or SeaSonic. Anyone else with an RMA process that doesn't ask you to pay the shipping back then say "oh, well, you'll have to wait 2-3 weeks cause you should have known this could happen. I'm like W_F........... Really? Worst customer support along with that. The customer service lady just laughed at me like it was my fault their product failed. I'm going to buy something new then sell this RMA garbage on _BAY, maybe I can get some of my lost money back. CORSAIR will never get another dime of my money ever again.

Other Thoughts: Seriously guys and gals, don't waste your money on CORSAIR. I had a friend tell me this had happen twice to him, but did I listen, NO! I just went with these so called positive reviews and said but look most people love CORSAIR. I should have listened to a friend and good guy that tried to tell me. DO better research before you buy CORSAIR guys! I promise looking at all feedback from everywhere and not just NEWEGG will help. Let me add in no way is this due to or cause of NEWEGG, NEWEGG has some of the best customer service vs. these product producing companies.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks as it should

Pros: No issues. Does its job as it should.

Cons: Cables are a bit bulky and stiff. Although I admire the rugged design, it isn't ideal for cable management.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent product

Pros: Enough power for what I needed for a decent price

Cons: The cords aren't modular, but I knew from the get-go they weren't

Other Thoughts: If there's one thing I've learned over the years, it's that you don't skimp out on your power supply. I've had too many burn out on me to settle for anything cheap, but this one finds a nice balance of quality and price.
