5 out of 5 eggsWhisper Quiet

This review is from: CORSAIR CX series CX500 500W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Just as the title indicates, the PSU is extremely quiet and was easy to install in my Mini-ITX case.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: There are many cables/connections included with this PSU. It would be better suited for cases with more internal space rather than a mini-itx case, which I installed it in.

5 out of 5 eggsQuality as always

This review is from: CORSAIR CX series CX500 500W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Very nice build quality. Wire and wire sheath are good quality and look very nice. All connectors feel solid, sheet metal is of good quality and paint looks great as well

Cons: None so far

2 out of 5 eggsFan Died

This review is from: CORSAIR CX series CX500 500W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Worked pretty well for about 5 months and fit quite nice. Didn't make too much sound when operating. Good while it lasted.

Cons: The fan died unexpectedly, I have plenty of room for airflow and cleaned it out quite often so there's no reason for the fan to stop working like this. Hoping for a replacement...

5 out of 5 eggsGood Price & Reliable

This review is from: CORSAIR CX series CX500 500W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Good price w/ rebate ($29 total). Running 6mo now w/out any issues. My system only requires 280W, so I'm not demanding much from the P/S. High quality design and manufacturing. Easy to install. No cable management issues. Bought Bronze for medium grade system longevity and reliability.

Cons: None to report. Corsair Bronze should go the distance.

Other Thoughts: I over spec'd by 200W, but wanted room to grow into a power hungry video card. Using Core i5-4570 integrated graphics for now. Amazingly fast for home business use.

5 out of 5 eggsVery Nice Power Supply

This review is from: CORSAIR CX series CX500 500W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: I purchased this for a recent computer build for our living area. The PS is very quiet and seems solid. I've had a couple go out on my recently and this one has a more solid feel to it.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I would not hesitate to purchase it again for an identical build.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Power

This review is from: CORSAIR CX series CX500 500W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Reliable power

Cons: The moment I flipped my case on the side, the fan started giving up, and made wining noises

Other Thoughts: You can unscrew the psu cover and disconnect the fan, then in my case I just mounted a 120 fan on top and plugged via 4 pin psu connector. This PSU went up in price quite a bit since it launched.

3 out of 5 eggsDecent unit

This review is from: CORSAIR CX series CX500 500W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: I prefer SeaSonic made units for higher end builds but the CWT supplied units are OK for everyday use with Onboard Graphics or lower tier dedicated GPU's.
I have used several of these for retail builds where lots of stable clean power is not a demand.

Cons: Made by CWT.

Other Thoughts: It's really too bad that Corsair went to lower quality manufacturer's but they are in the business of making money.
Unfortunately, at users expense.
