1 out of 5 eggsDOA Twice in a row

This review is from: CORSAIR CX series CX600 600W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: It looked sweet and had all the cables i needed, but it was dead. now read cons. even came with some zip ties for cable management.

Cons: So when i received this power supply the first time the main 24 pin power supply cables end looked odd to me. One of the pins was completely fried and another missing the whole cable coming out of the power supply and had no pin in the connector, just a blank slot. So i replaced it got another one same brand and it came back with the same missing cable and no pin. So I think there may have been a malfunction at the factory and they are clearly doing a bad QC job.

Other Thoughts: Why is it that i have to pay shipping on a RMA? Shouldn't the vendor be responsible for that? I have to spend $34 just to buy a different product now. Kinda lame.

3 out of 5 eggsBait and Switch

This review is from: CORSAIR CX series CX600 600W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: It's a Corsair. They have a solid name as a reliable brand. I doubt I'll have any problems (but will update if there is).

Cons: Ordered the modular, but received the non-modular version instead. More of a luxury feature, but still annoying..

It's also pretty dang loud compared to my old OCZ, even though it's not being heavily taxed.

Other Thoughts: At first I assumed it was a mistake on my part (I'm one of those guys). Looking over the records again it was definitely a mistake on Newegg's end.

A bit of a tricky situation since if I RMA I'll miss out on the promised rebate that came with the PSU.

5 out of 5 eggsGood PSU

This review is from: CORSAIR CX series CX600 600W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Silent and performant PSU for my gaming PC setup.

I have I5-2320 , 8gb DDR3 , 1SSD , 1 HD , 2 DVD-R , 1 case fan, 1 MSI GTX 970 OC and everyting work fine.

The power supply is very silent.

Cons: Not modular , too many unused power output for me and my computer case.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing Power Supply

This review is from: CORSAIR CX series CX600 600W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Very good power supply with enough power to supply most mid range and some high-end computers. Can't go wrong with Corsair, some of the most solid, reliable PSU's on the market. Voltage protection keeps the rest of your computer's components safe.

The mesh sleeved cables are really nice too.

Cons: none whatsoever

Other Thoughts: Was always told that a power supply is the most important component of building a computer, since it basically can either protect your hardware, or brick it. I've never once had a problem with any Corsair power supply, and can confidently say they're the one that'll protect your computer.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat unit

This review is from: CORSAIR CX series CX600 600W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: This unit has worked flawlessly for the past six months. Almost tripled the the HP power supply units I had saved for backups .Fan is very quiet and always runs cool. I bought this because I had purchased a Corsair CX500M a month before and was pleased with the quality so I wanted a backup & pitch the other backups. Anyhow I ended up building another tower so this unit went into it. Got it on sale here, only draw back is that it is not a modolur unit & I should have paid the extra $5 or $10 and bought the Corsair CX600M. Modolur is the way to go, less clutter in your tower be it a small form factor tower or the huge full size I can sleep inside this tower Basically I have always trusted Corsair because I have never been disapointed with their products.

Cons: nada

Other Thoughts: Go Modolur

1 out of 5 eggsQQ No Power!

This review is from: CORSAIR CX series CX600 600W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: worked for 6 months. Seemed like a good price, was my first time building a computer and it met all of my requirements.

Cons: My computer wont power up at all. I accept that these things happen and am trying to send it to corsair to hopefully fix my problem. It just sucks that I worked so hard to build my computer and then a part breaks in it. Especially at a time where I left my full time job to go back to school and I really dont have any extra money to try and fix this problem. If the warrenty doesnt save me I'm done for.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear customer,

This review is from: CORSAIR CX series CX600 600W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Cables were easy to manage and can be concealed quite easily in a case.
