4 out of 5 eggsVery Good Warranty

This review is from: CORSAIR CX series CX600 600W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: CORSAIR stands by it's product

Cons: died short of 1 year anniversary

Other Thoughts: Even though my power supply died in about 1 year, CORSAIR replaced it in about a week. Overall I’m happy.

5 out of 5 eggsLong Cables, overall nice

This review is from: CORSAIR CX series CX600 600W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Comes in a nice box with mounting screws and 4 little black zip-ties, long cords. Nice finish. Some basic sleeves on some of the cables, not great but better than nothing.

Cons: Cords are long, and therefore even harder to cable manage and tuck away the un-used ones.

Other Thoughts: Good PSU for the price. 3 Year warranty is a plus.

1 out of 5 eggsVery short 5 month lifespans

This review is from: CORSAIR CX series CX600 600W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: It completely died very quickly both times.

Cons: This is by far the worst power supply I've ever had.

This model died twice in a ten month period and worked for about 5 months both times. Also, this computer is very lower power, and doesn't come close to using 600W.

I've already wasted more than $30 dollars on shipping, so please consider buying a better PSU.

Other Thoughts: Buyer beware, don't buy this corsair.

1 out of 5 eggsDidn't work straight out of the box

This review is from: CORSAIR CX series CX600 600W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: It's Corsair?

Cons: Had everything plugged in correctly, I plugged it into an outlet, flipped the switch, pressed the power button, got nothing. I rearranged wires multiple times and got the same response except for one time where the case fans would come on for a split second with its LED lights, and turn off as a repeating process until I flipped the switch to off.

Also there were way too many unused cables.

Other Thoughts: I'm going to return this for a refund and buying a modular one.

1 out of 5 eggsCX600 V3 quality has changed

This review is from: CORSAIR CX series CX600 600W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Says Corsair on it, Says 46amps and 522w on 12v rail

Cons: Corsair cx v3 used to be great! I have a early v3 model that still runs wonderful and actually delivers it's rated power. Now they are still labeled as v3, but are now different, and no longer deliver their rated power.

Other Thoughts: I just want to clear up that this is not Newegg's fault. This is strictly Corsair's wrong doing. I bought a V3 CX600 back in early 2014, The V2 CX models were good, But they improved allot when the V3 came out. But now Corsair has changed the CX series again, They are still labeled as v2.3 (V3) But now they no longer deliver their rated wattage or amps. I was lucky to get a early V3 CX600. I have no idea how corsair thinks they can just do this to loyal customers! But the CX750 can only put out around 560watts! So I can imagine how bad the CX600 is now. It is probably only a 400watt unit now. Huntkey tried this back around 2008 and it did not work, Why Corsair thinks they can suddenly do this is beyond me! I really hate to see this happen to the CX series, I used to recommend the CX series all the time. It was the go to PSU. But now it is dangerous to use in a system, The PSU is the most important component of your system. If the PSU fails it will take everything down with it. So I now recommend Antec and Seasonic. You may have to pay a bit more. But it will be worth not ruining your system with a overrated PSU.

1 out of 5 eggsStay away from this Power Supply!

This review is from: CORSAIR CX series CX600 600W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Cheap

Cons: This power supply is garbage!
The 8 Pin PCI Express set fire to the video card it was powering! The plastic connector is melted and the videocard is ruined.
The 24 Pin connector does not lock into the motherboard.

Other Thoughts: Do not bother this this power supply!

1 out of 5 eggsI chose poorly

This review is from: CORSAIR CX series CX600 600W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Power supplies only come in two varieties, good and bad. Thought I was getting a good one at this price level with the Corsair name.

Cons: Purchased on 12/22/14, died on 5/19/15, after very limited use in a very standard build, plugged into the UPS side of an APC battery backup.

Too heavy to mess with sending back. Will not buy a Corsair PSU again.

Other Thoughts: I should have stuck with Rosewill.

This review is from: CORSAIR CX series CX600 600W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Great Price

Cons: Powered up burning smell and fans making a lot of noise like rubbing or hitting something.

Other Thoughts: Refurbished....is 50/50 endeavor...bought 2 of these one was garbage one was ok. Newegg took care of me and RMA's with refund for the bad one.

5 out of 5 eggsSo far so good...

This review is from: CORSAIR CX series CX600 600W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Everything plugged in nice and they processed my rebate within a week. Not sure how long the prepaid VISA card will take to arrive, but I received confirmation of approval rather quickly, contrary to what some reviewers claimed. I can't hear the fan at all. It is much quieter than my other case fans or Hyper 212 + fan.

Cons: None
