5 out of 5 eggs

This review is from: CORSAIR CX series CX600 600W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Quiet and reliable. The voltages are almost perfect on my unit.

Cons: Not modular.

Other Thoughts: I wouldn't use this to build a high end system that requires a lot of power.

1 out of 5 eggsDOA - Don't by rebate items

This review is from: CORSAIR CX series CX600 600W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Specs look good. Packing is nice enough.

Cons: Doesn't work even when jumpered. Guess I got a dud.

Other Thoughts: Apparently, buying rebate items is like buying open-box. Chances are a significant percentage of them are known duds. Return shipping is around twenty dollars for this item and messes up the rebate since you can't return an item with the UPC cut off. Buyer beware.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat for Simple build

This review is from: CORSAIR CX series CX600 600W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Has held up and run my Home Theatre PC for about 2 years with no issues. Price was dirt cheap when I built it.

Cons: Not ideal for any more high end build. I like the new modular options now.

Other Thoughts: If you have a more power hungry high end machine, I'd jump up to the HX or AX series. Better efficiency and internals. Worth the extra $$ to safe some wear and tear on your system. The Cs and Cx series are more for simple builds, low strain, less demanding components.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat power supply

This review is from: CORSAIR CX series CX600 600W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: This has been a reliable power supply so far. Seems to be plenty of power for the mid range PC build.

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: Bought this for a mid range PC build. Build stats...

Video Card - MSI R7850 Twin Frozr 2GD5/OC Radeon HD 7850 2GB 256-Bit GDDR5
Processor - AMD FX-6300 6 core
HHD - Seagate Barracuda 1TB

5 out of 5 eggsGreat

This review is from: CORSAIR CX series CX600 600W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: It works, it's quiet (at least to me); and at least at my level of Tech Knowledge, that's all I can ask for.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: Feels like it's high quality if that means anything. I've bought Corsair's CX series before and have had good experiences. Would buy again.

5 out of 5 eggsJust Works

This review is from: CORSAIR CX series CX600 600W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Works. 80+ Bronze. Trusted brand.

Cons: Essentially none.

The product is not modular, and all the cons of a non-modular powersupply hold true with the CX600 so there is nothing to hold against this product. Definitely make sure the case has enough room to store away the extra cables.

Other Thoughts: As general PC performance isn't affected by the PSU, budget builders tend to try to avoid spending too much on the power supply. However, everyone knows to not skimp on the quality either. The Corsair CX600 and the CX family finds the right balance between reasonable price and reliability. It plainly just works. Hassle free, does what you need it to do.

When on promotion, this power supply is a no brainer. When not on promotion, some competing brands might be more intriguing. Never settle for low rating PSU's. Your parts just aren't worth the risk.

Corsair is also quite a reputable brand, and their reputation is justified by the quality of their products.

1 out of 5 eggshorrible psu

This review is from: CORSAIR CX series CX600 600W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Got it real cheap

Cons: I bought this product and it lasted about 10 minutes and my pc shut off. I tried rebooting, checked all the cables, and tried to do a post test. Nothing would work. For some reason it stopped giving power to the motherboard and now im out of 50 some dollars. Buyer beware!

Other Thoughts: I really want my money back. This product is not worth the buy!!

4 out of 5 eggsWorks how it should

This review is from: CORSAIR CX series CX600 600W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: No internal issues so far (if that is even a pro)

Cons: Either they should include more power cables for SATA devices or make them longer because every single SATA power cable is being utilized, and have a very tight fit, almost to the point where they are starting to break free from the socket on the drive (maybe I should've just bought a modular one)

2 out of 5 eggsReliability

This review is from: CORSAIR CX series CX600 600W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Quiet and efficient.

Cons: After 14 months of ownership, this PSU has died. Now working with Corsair on obtaining a replacement through warranty.

Other Thoughts: Hoping this is an isolated incident.

5 out of 5 eggsCorsair CX 600

This review is from: CORSAIR CX series CX600 600W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Low cost, Reliable, High efficiency, Looks great in any case., Can be used and trusted with any expensive GPU.

Cons: I really can't think of any cons.

Other Thoughts: This really is a nice PSU. I was very impressed by the load test reviews. And the lates CX V3 models have been greatly improved in power output and efficiency. You buy a PSU by wattage for what you need. I bought mine because I only planed on using it for one good GPU. When I first got the CX600 I was running a i5 750 and GTX 650 Ti, Now I am running a i5 3470 and a R9 270. And the great thing is I can upgrade to a more powerful GPU if I want to. This is a strong unit for $70. I trust Corsair's CWT OEM units over any other brand on the market. CWT has always made strong reliable units.
