5 out of 5 eggsWell Built

This review is from: CORSAIR CX series CX600 600W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Excellent output for its case size, which fit my pre-built computer case. QUIET... almost too quiet. Overall, my tower runs cooler. Great factory packaging and shipment was package well.

Cons: N/A

3 out of 5 eggsDisapointed in Corsair

This review is from: CORSAIR CX series CX600 600W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: I have used corsair products for some years and have had satisfactory performance from all. Good products for a decent price.

Cons: As of recent my purchase of the corsair 600 watt power supply went well and is working just fine. However the $20.00 rebate was never received by myself and am very disappointed that Corsair apparently does not honor their rebates. Due to this disappointment my trust in Corsair is not what it once was and will not buy any more Corsair products.

Other Thoughts: Looks like I will go back to purchasing Antec products which I think are just as good if not better. I have never had a problem with antec products and they honor their rebates from past experience.

5 out of 5 eggsDoes the job

This review is from: CORSAIR CX series CX600 600W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: It's a Power Supply, and it provides electricity to my stuff! Quite good for the price, too

Cons: Wish it was modular

Other Thoughts: I've had multiple power outages in the recent months, and this thing handles it like a champ

2 out of 5 eggsCORSAIR needs to think about quality

This review is from: CORSAIR CX series CX600 600W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Reliable power supply, always supplies the rated wattage for me.

Cons: I was rather upset when I first got all of my components on this build when I tried to attach this PSU to my motherboard.

Corsair has a really ridiculous history of poorly manufacturing their pins, and it nearly led me to overstress my mobo at the 20-pin connector.

In the end, I got the 20-pin in far enough to power my computer, but there's just something wrong with the fact that it wouldn't go in far enough to clip on to the socket. It's dangerous and for the price I should get a piece of equipment that at least connects properly on the single most important wire.

Seriously CORSAIR, why can't you quality check your 20- and 4-pin connectors before you ship these? I do not want to go without a desktop for 3 weeks while I RMA a power supply that I need to have to use my PC.

Other Thoughts: Go with another brand, and get a modular power supply. Bronze rating is fine, but CORSAIR has disappointed me for the last time on these connectors.

2 out of 5 eggsExpected Better

This review is from: CORSAIR CX series CX600 600W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Worked well while it lasted.

Cons: I bought this almost exactly 4 years ago. I used it in a media server. This server at most pulled about 100 watts during startup and often no more than 60 watts. The other day I came home and the power supply was completely dead. Computer would not boot at all. I have seen many factory power supplies that lasted longer. I was somewhat disappointed that this power supply did not last the life of the computer.

5 out of 5 eggsQuiet and easy to install

This review is from: CORSAIR CX series CX600 600W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Quiet and easy to install, and not that expensive for 600w.

Cons: A lot of wires, and can get cramped if you have mid-sized case like I do, but who cares, its 600w and cheap.

Other Thoughts: I now look at my old power supply at disgust and it cries every time I look at it.

1 out of 5 eggsAvoid

This review is from: CORSAIR CX series CX600 600W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: It worked for half a month... kinda. (See cons)

Cons: After about a week of putting this in my new pc build it fails whenever any 3D graphics come on from a game. This results in my PC screen turning black and my computer restarting. (Civ 5, Tomb Raider, Skyrim) but hey it works with FF8.

Other Thoughts: I Receive the critical error "Kernel-Power" whenever it restarts.
