1 out of 5 eggsBAD PSU BE AWARE

Pros: No Pros

Cons: Only Cons

Other Thoughts: I bought this power supply for my new system and guess what? It doesn't work properly....Looks like its not feeding my system with enough juice. I was using my 4+ year old 1000w Xion psu for the last 4 days until this one arrived and I had 0 issues but with this one my system BOOT LOOPS, freezes and etc.. Save your self the hassle and spend 40 more dollars to get a higher quality PSU because this one will either be DOA or wont work properly.

Pros: -Quality
-Power rating
-Expandability

An all around solid power supply

Cons: It can hardly be considered modular. Only 4 cables are detachable.

4 out of 5 eggsYes

Pros: Specs are great, price is competitive for semi-modular bronze cert, dead quiet.

Cons: I received the wrong modular cords with mine, will have to beat my head against Corsairs' wall soon to correct issue I'm afraid.

Other Thoughts: Moved up from a 650w Corsair that exceeded expectations in old rig. Trusted Corsair based on that experience and haven't been upset by the choice.

Pros: Really Nice layout and cables.

Cons: Nothing really, wish the molex connectors were modular but its not a big deal

Other Thoughts: add it to the cart and checkout, you wont be disappointed.

Pros: my damaged PSU is still running strong even with a total of 8 hard drives two ATI 6870's and a custom loop water cooling solution.

Cons: still was shipped damaged...

Other Thoughts: this thing won't die lol but that's a good thing

5 out of 5 eggsPowerful and Budget Friendly

Pros: upgraded from a stock psu from HP to this, and could not be happier with the purchase.

-semi-modular design allows for better cable management, and in turn better air flow through case
-required (unremoveable) cables are pre-sleeved with a black mesh, that looks very sleek
-comes with plenty of cables, more than likely more than you will immediately need (extra sata to 6 pin, molex to 6 pin, ect.)

Cons: none, but see 'other thoughts'

Other Thoughts: not really any glaring issues that I would list as an honest negative, but:

-the fan on the psu is thermal controlled, and if it deems that the psu is running cool enough, it will throttle down the fans rpm. it will even go as far as to turn the fan completely off. the only reason this is even listed at all, is because at first I thought my psu was defective and had me supremely worried.

after a little research, I found out the thermal controller bit, and am immensely relieved.

long story short, don't freak out like I did just because the fan on your psu turns off.

5 out of 5 eggsWith Great Power Comes Great Performance

Pros: Very efficient power supply, the semi modular design makes it easier to reduce the amount of cabling inside my case(which has terrible management built into it). nice and quiet.

Cons: plenty of wires to leave off due to semi modular design but the ones that arent modular are pretty plentiful still.

Other Thoughts: Well worth the price and has fantastic efficiency.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat PSU

Pros: It's actually pretty quiet, and more power than I'll ever need. Tha's why I got it though, so I'd never have to upgrade. It's all that I wanted it to be and more!

Cons: None.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Semi-modular

Cons: see below

Other Thoughts: not really a con, but something to be aware of...the sata power connections are oriented such that a case with a bottom mount PSU is preferred. A top mount will work, but if you have multiple drives, you will find it to be a clumsy install

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Works great.
Love modular power supplies.
Very high quality and from a reliable brand.

Cons: Did not work with the first motherboard I tried to use it with.
But works fine with every other configuration.

Other Thoughts: It seems odd, I researched what was wrong and came to the conclusion that it this didn't have a single 12v rail. However, looking now it seems as though it does, so I am not certain why this wouldn't work with the initial motherboard.
