Pros: packaged nice
very quite
perfect fit

Cons: cables are too stiff
It died on me after three months with no load at all
I am just ordered a different brand to test

Other Thoughts: It craped out on me after three months of ownership. it was installed in my HTPC to run movies with video card. other than that I liked the unit. It was nice and quite

1 out of 5 eggsVery unreliable

Pros: For its price when it is on sale, as a semi modular psu from Corsair, it isn't too bad. When it works, it is good, but it doesn't seem like these last for very long at all.

Cons: I am currently on my second one of these, after rma-ing my first one after about 3months of light use. I was simply on Google Chrome when my computer turned off randomly and refused to turn of anymore after that. After the paper clip test, it was confirmed that the psu was need dead, I just received my replacement for Corsair and what do you know? This one was also faulty.. I plugged everything not my pc and it ran for 10 mins tops before turning off by itself. I tried turning it on again and it'd simply turn off and turn back on then off continually..
Now I'm most likely going to have to send this back in AGAIN, sending these things in the mail is extremely expensive in canada (cost me about $30 last time), in which I feel like it went be worth it at all with the chance of getting another faulty one I may end up spending more than simply buying a brand new one from another brand.

2 out of 5 eggs1 year later, bad

Pros: Nice power. Good cable management.

Cons: Having problem with it on our server built 1 year ago. Causing problem on the Intel motherboard. Sometimes it doesn't post, other times it runs really sluggish.

Swapped it for a temporary 450W power supply, and everything is back to normal again. Many many power cycles and it posts every time and runs smooth.

Other Thoughts: Not sure if I'll be purchasing any more Corsair power supplies in the future.

2 out of 5 eggsClicking Noise

Pros: Very Solid Build Quality, easy to install. Powers your components.

Cons: The fan turns on if there is about 50% PSU load, so you expect it to be quiet.... however there is a very large clicking noise that originates from the PSU when it is between 30%-40% load and it is loud enough to be heard outside the case. Quite annoying, I expected better from Corsair.

Other Thoughts: I thought going from a CX to a TX series would be an upgrade.

1 out of 5 eggsHorrible Customer Service

Pros: None that I can think of

Cons: Is causing computer to randomly shut off, will not fully power off system. Submitted a ticket with Corsair for RMA. After it was submitted they said they would contact me by email in a few hours. It's now been 3 days with no response to my issue. Trying to chat with a rep is a joke as they are always unavailable. This will be my first and last Corsair purchase.

Manufacturer Response:

Hi,
I see that your http://corsair.force.com RMA was approved last week. If there's anything else you need please respond to your ticket.
Thank you,
Corsair Customer Support

Pros: none! It turns on but you can faintly hear it arcing inside! It quiets down during load but with the wire test it clicks....If i install this in to a pc it will burn it up...highly unstable and dangerous!

Cons: DOA!
none! It turns on but you can faintly hear it arcing inside! It quiets down during load but with the wire test it clicks....If i install this in to a pc it will burn it up...highly unstable and dangerous!

Other Thoughts: very upset...wasted good hard earned money on this...broke the warranty seal trying to see if it was the fan so I am stuck with it.... Why cant they sell honest products to hard workers!!!?

3 out of 5 eggsBarely Modular

Pros: It worked fine for a long time. It still works but I just want something more modular.

Cons: I know its not fully modular but I expect modular to be like the CX series with just the main atx and CPU power cable being connected.

5 out of 5 eggsPut 2 in my friends build

Pros: Built two I5-2500K systems for my friends about 16 months ago and put this power supply in both their rigs. So far so issues. Semi Modular design is nice, low clutter.

Cons: oh my gerd the Semi modular PSU I bought is not Fully Modular, I think I'll subtract an egg!

4 out of 5 eggsGood Product but Canadian Rebate does not apply

Pros: Works as per specifications and absolutely no installation or operating issues with this product. Very, very quiet.

Cons: None with the hardware but the Corsair rebate system as advertised on Newegg.ca does not apply in Canada. An egg removed for this.

Other Thoughts: Just received a notification from Corsair that the rebate offer is not valid in my country of residence (Ontario, Canada). It is only $10.00 and not a big deal but Newegg.ca should not be providing a rebate promotion if it is not applicable for any product.

5 out of 5 eggsHigh Quality

Pros: High quality, low noise [cannot be heard over my video card, CPU and case fans - note: over 48% my video card fan can be heard, beyond 50% it gets much louder (AMD HD 6950)]

I have overclocked my Ivy Bridge to 4.8GHz on air and PSU voltage levels were very stable.

Cons: I have no cons.

Other Thoughts: I purchased this unit in May 2012. I wanted something that would be stable for CPU overclock and long life.

It is listed as semi-modular, so, that cannot be held against it. I used all of the permanent cables and needed some of the modular cables, so, in my case I cannot say this semi-modular design is a con.

My case is a Cooler Master HAF 922 and the large cables are stored between the motherboard back plate and the outer case. This makes for a very clean arrangement where airflow is important.
