5 out of 5 eggsGreat Power Supply

Pros: I stand by Corsair, especially in their power supplies. These things are rock solid, and the ONLY time I've seen one fail is when I spilled a beer on it.

Cons: None, performs as advertised.

Other Thoughts: If I need a strong power supply, I go right to Corsair now.

5 out of 5 eggsA King of High End PSUs

Pros: This thing runs really quiet. The fan doesn't spin up until it detects a certain temperature or when the power supply is at 50C load. I've never heard this fan run at all, so good job Corsair. Good features and extremely quiet.

The cables are sleeved extremely well and fit well into the power supply cable holes. Cables are plenty and long enough for 99% of the cases out there. Full modularity on the cables is an extremely good feature and really helps with cable management.

Also saw a $1 decrease from my power bill. I'm not sure if it's because of this PSU or something, but it definitely is really efficient at 80+ Gold.

Cons: A con? For this device? Haha. You're funny. Cons. For this high end PSU. No, but on a serious note, I think this PSU is somewhat overpriced. Should be around $120-$140.

Other Thoughts: I bought this to replace my GS600 since the cable management was very hard to manage.

Also, if you hear a click sound when you boot your system up, then it probably means that the fan is testing itself to make sure it works. Which, in turn, lets you know the fan is working.

Corsair customer support is A+ material and their quality on PSUs is over A++!

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Looks nice, runs as quiet as other simular models and brands, Nice modular connections to power supply.

Cons: SATA cables wired backward for top mounted power supply and need to be twisted to install. Wires stiff and difficult to bend.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing!

Pros: Best power supply you can find, unless you're getting the AX850 or higher.
Runs smooth and quite, fan barley comes on unless I am really running a ton of stuff.
The graph on the box shows you fan speed and power consumption for the amount you are pulling.
Great packing.
All around good buy.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: It doesnt make bacon...

2 out of 5 eggsFlawed product

Pros: Nicely packaged, long cords and quiet fan.

Cons: Very loud coil whine while in use, unbearable under normal conditions.

All the SATA cables were wired backwards. If the PSU fan is mounted down (clips down) while at the bottom of the case the 'L' teeth normally on the left side of the SATA device are very difficult to reach without twisting the stiff cables 180 degrees.

Also the SATA cables were very tight fitting. It takes almost 30 to 40 pounds of force to get them in place and remove them.

Other Thoughts: Corsairs if you're reading this please redesign the SATA cables. It should take no more than 15 pounds of force to attach/remove a SATA cable and flip the orientation of the SATA power connecter 180 degrees so I can string three devices easily if the PSU is mounted fan down.

The black, string-like cables are too stiff for normal use making the SATA cable design mistake a very good reason to not buy this power supply.

Test for coil whine. I turned off all the power saving features in the BIOS and swapped the kettle plug and the power supply and the coil whine is louder than my UPS and 140mm fans combined. It would ebb and flow to the 12-volt draw making my nearly silent computer unusable.

Flipping the PSU fan up (clips up) would align the SATA power cables but reverse remaining cables, creating a far greater problem.

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: -Sleek look
-Fully modular
-80+ Gold

Cons: -DOA
-Cables were a bit stiff, somewhat hard to route

Other Thoughts: Just RMA'd it. Disheartening thing to happen on my first build. Now to wait however long it may take for the RMA to actually go through. Guess Borderlands 2, Guild Wars and Mists will have to wait. =(

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Each cable is separate from the power supply. Not forced to hide unnecessary cables that are not in use. Over 90% efficiency! I think its more like 98%

Fan only comes on when needed. Which i havent herd it come on yet so it runs cool. Keeps the computer nice and quiet.

Very clean and organized!

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: FYI, the fan does work. It spins when the computer first turns on and then goes off.
