2 out of 5 eggsWas nice... when it worked

This review is from: CORSAIR AXi series AX1200i 1200W Digital ATX12V v2.31 and EPS 2.92 SLI CrossFire 80 PLUS PLATINUM Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: This was a very promising unit, great features with corsair link.

Cons: lasted 5 months. Poor support, TERRIBLE RMA process and Lazy staff.

Other Thoughts: after just 5 months or so it died. I woke up the other morning and went to turn on the pc and was disappointed when the pc had no power at all. I unplugged everything checked self test and would get a green light and the fan would spin up and then it would click and go dead. I checked with the good old reliable BFG power supply I used to use and everything powered up. I contacted support was pretty much sent to the web to complete the process, had to call back because my power supply model number was not listed in the RMA list. In the end I am left with a dead PC with a "top end" power supply from a company that makes you start a ticket via email just to be able to send it in. Now mind you this process takes up to two days and is only Monday-Friday... This process is just unacceptable when it could be completed by the employees when you initially contacted them for support, rather than sending your customer to the web to submit a form and wait, and then to wait again after shipping the item back.

5 out of 5 eggs$399 is not regular retail price, liars

This review is from: CORSAIR AXi series AX1200i 1200W Digital ATX12V v2.31 and EPS 2.92 SLI CrossFire 80 PLUS PLATINUM Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: rock steady voltages :D just what u need for a good overclock. Any disturbances in the power from the outlet get filtered, which is why i bought this one.

Cons: WTH, why wouldnt corsair make a 1000W. Overkill especially considering new pc components are reducing power consumption

5 out of 5 eggsCorsair AX 1200i

This review is from: CORSAIR AXi series AX1200i 1200W Digital ATX12V v2.31 and EPS 2.92 SLI CrossFire 80 PLUS PLATINUM Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: Seems well built. Great packaging and tons of cables with great length for the bigger cases. Love the corsair link. Been very handy trying to troubleshoot my video card problems (constant 12v rail etc....)

Cons: Price

Other Thoughts: It is definitely a little longer than any I've owned previously. Of course none of those were over 1000 so this may be the norm for this size of PS. 3rd Corsair P/S I've owned and all are still going strong.

1 out of 5 eggsDOA

This review is from: CORSAIR AXi series AX1200i 1200W Digital ATX12V v2.31 and EPS 2.92 SLI CrossFire 80 PLUS PLATINUM Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: None yet

Cons: Unit was DOA. Self test worked before cables were pluged in. After wiring the new system self test fails. Unit will not power on.

2 out of 5 eggsDead with less than 3 weeks in service

This review is from: CORSAIR AXi series AX1200i 1200W Digital ATX12V v2.31 and EPS 2.92 SLI CrossFire 80 PLUS PLATINUM Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: Very quiet, seems ruggedly built. Easy to install; CPU & mobo cables long and flexible enough. Corsair does a luxe job with its packaging and as always Newegg was prompt in its delivery.

Cons: Woke up this morning, walked into my home office and... nothing. Pulled it and swapped the old PSU back in so at least I have a running system while this one is RMAed.

Other Thoughts: Yes, I'll RMA it because even among the best suppliers bad pieces ship, though it seems this unit suffers from a higher than average number of failures.

As it's < 1mo old I expect it to be replaced with a NEW unit; not a refurb and after I've had a working unit in service for a while I'll update my review.

2 out of 5 eggsOnly lasted three years.

This review is from: CORSAIR AXi series AX1200i 1200W Digital ATX12V v2.31 and EPS 2.92 SLI CrossFire 80 PLUS PLATINUM Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: Looks nice and is modular.

Cons: Has a seven year warranty, and it only lasted me three years. It was beginning to fail since the first year but I never really knew what was happening until it died completely on the third year.

Other Thoughts: Too pricey for such a short life. It is my second faulty Corsair PSU and my third faulty Corsair item. The H100 Cooler also died on me very fast and the replacement one I received is probably about to die. I have not received any response from Corsair in my RMA request Ticket. I think I will try to stick with Antec for PSUs now. And for water cooling, I will just go with real water cooling, non of this "quick and easy" "closed loop" gimmick.

5 out of 5 eggsPower without noise

This review is from: CORSAIR AXi series AX1200i 1200W Digital ATX12V v2.31 and EPS 2.92 SLI CrossFire 80 PLUS PLATINUM Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: - power level
- features
- design

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: I first thought it is broken when I switched on the PC because no fan was running inside the power supply but the PC worked perfectly. It does not need a fan unless temperature reaches its limits. The electronic controls of that supply are impressive. I love it.

Maybe the cable package can be reviewed and revised and be better explained. The corair forum is full of questions around it and I had the same questions and no answers from the handbook. This is not a technical but a customer understanding issue

5 out of 5 eggsPowerful!

This review is from: CORSAIR AXi series AX1200i 1200W Digital ATX12V v2.31 and EPS 2.92 SLI CrossFire 80 PLUS PLATINUM Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: - Fully Modular.
- Efficient.
- Very Silent.
- Made By Corsair.
- Comes with a Corsair bag.

Cons: None!

Other Thoughts: I was in need of a powerful PSU. Decided to go with this beast and it was the right decision. It pulls my SLI setup like, it's nothing. I'd buy it again and do recommend this PSU for a serious SLI setup.
