2 out of 5 eggsVery Unreliable (Gave up after a year)

This review is from: CORSAIR CX series CX750 750W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: It was good when I first had it for about 4 months.

Cons: Oh, where do I begin....

First, It isn't reliable at all. I've had my custom pc for about a year and this was the first part to give out. It's sad because this was supposed to be a good psu.

Secondly, the wiring is atrociuous. Good luck with cable management

Thirdly, it'll just restart your computer at random times.

Other Thoughts: Never buying a Corsair PSU again.

2 out of 5 eggsUnreliable

This review is from: CORSAIR CX series CX750 750W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: Worked fine for exactly 1yr. Had no problems, no noise, no issues until it suddenly quit a year after purchase.

Cons: Not a trustworthy power supply, since I've had this one replaced 3 times via warranty. The first one was fine for a year, the 2nd was on a train that derailed and was DOA, the 3rd failed to power on my GPU's. I'm currently waiting for a refund and pre-paid shipping for all my troubles.

Other Thoughts: You get what you pay for. Spend an extra $50-$100 for a better PSU to avoid all the hassle of having to RMA an unreliable piece of equipment.

5 out of 5 eggsNeed Instructions

This review is from: CORSAIR CX series CX750 750W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: Good construction and works well. Very low noise.

Cons: Lack of simple paper instruction or on-line documents.

Other Thoughts: My first one was not installed properly and was returned thinking it was DOA. The replacement arrived in two weeks and I found I plugged in the 6 pins connector to the CPU 4 pins. After I plugged in the 8 pins (CPU) connector to the CPU 4 pins on the MB, all worked well. If only there was some simple instructions, I would not have mistreated the first one. And Newegg does not have a way to change my prior ONE egg rating which was given unfairly.

1 out of 5 eggsCorsair CX750 Non Modular Version

This review is from: CORSAIR CX series CX750 750W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: Corsair name

Cons: Dead on Arrival

Other Thoughts: Be very careful with taking the UPC code off your product box for any rebate until you are sure that the product works. I took mine off and mailed it in for the rebate because the time frame to get it in was very tight but I didn't have all components to put the computer together. When I went to try PSU later it was dead and then Newegg would not do anything because the packaging wasn't "as New". So I have to go to Corsair. If you are a rebate person watch out for this problem - maybe they aren't worth it.

This review is from: CORSAIR CX series CX750 750W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: Friend is building a 'puter for me. Best prices. Easy to order. Quick delivery

Cons: The rebate process is torturous. It also ate the original upc label so returns are impossible. What's with that?

Other Thoughts: Sure hope this works

3 out of 5 eggsWorks, but...

This review is from: CORSAIR CX series CX750 750W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: Good price for 750W 80 PLUS Bronze

Cons: Terrible coil whine

Other Thoughts: The whine is a consistent high frequency, but it's loud, and it's not just coming physically from the coil in the PSU. The noise gets into speakers and is audible on some headphones (even with a usb soundcard). I'll have to try a better interface and DAC to see if the problems go away.

5 out of 5 eggsSolid for the money

This review is from: CORSAIR CX series CX750 750W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: Very solid PSU that will get you plenty of power and reliability so you don't have to worry about your house burning down o.O

I've loaded this up once with an i7 3770k oc'd to 4.6ghz and 2 R9 280s with no problem :)

Cons: It's not modular, but that's not always a problem.

It''s very "boring" looking

Other Thoughts: It's a no fuss plenty of power for most builds PSU.
