1 out of 5 eggsDoesn't last, cheap quality.

This review is from: CORSAIR CX series CX750 750W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Corsair CP-9020015-NA Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: Quiet for a short time, fits in most cases well.

Cons: After about 4 or so months you'll start to notice a slight coil whine when the PSU comes under strain, usually when playing video games. Soon, the PSU will fail outright. This is exactly what happened with the first 750 I had, and it's happening again with the one I have now. (After RMAing it, which was a dreadful process with Corsair).

Other Thoughts: I wish I had saved myself the trouble of dealing with corsair and this cheap PSU by buying something else. Save yourself the trouble and find something else.

1 out of 5 eggsCOIL WHINE

This review is from: CORSAIR CX series CX750 750W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Corsair CP-9020015-NA Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: It got coil whine after 3 weeks of minimal use. Was unable to RMA through Newegg since I sent in the Original UPC off the box for the Rebate(not neweggs fault). The PSU still works but has an annoying whine. I'll have to send it in to Corsair when it wont interfere with work.

Cons: COIL WHINE

5 out of 5 eggsVery nice PSU

This review is from: CORSAIR CX series CX750 750W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Corsair CP-9020015-NA Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: I really like this power supply; granted it is not modular but I love how long cables are, particularly the CPU cable. I have a mid tower case. The CPU cable is so long that I am able to route it around my motherboard keeping it out of sight. I have a 900 watt Antec and disappointed how short the CPU cable was. I had to route it over the video card which generally seems the case. Some complained that the cables were too long. I love how long they are. It gives you plenty of room to play with them.

Cons: It is not modular but I didn't want to pay extra for a modular PSU, so it is not really a con.

1 out of 5 eggsLoud under any load

This review is from: CORSAIR CX series CX750 750W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Corsair CP-9020015-NA Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: - Cheap

Cons: - Loud
- Too Cheap
- Coil Whine

I had this for about 2 weeks before I returned it for a refund. Apparently, the manufacturer who made the circuit board used subpar parts. The power supply make a loud whine under any load more than idle.

I bought a Rosewill Capstone 750W-M and was much more impressed by the quality.

Other Thoughts: My system specs:
XFX 280x Black Edition
i5-4690k
Gigabyte GA-z97x-UD3H-BK
Rosewill Capstone 750W-M

5 out of 5 eggsGood PSU

This review is from: CORSAIR CX series CX750 750W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Corsair CP-9020015-NA Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: Replaced a Antec that died. All the wires are long enough to reach their respective plugs on the motherboard on a full tower case. Its a simple psu, but fits the need.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Not modular, but the excess wires wrap up fine.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks like it should

This review is from: CORSAIR CX series CX750 750W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Corsair CP-9020015-NA Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: It works. The long cables are exactly what I needed for my full tower case. Was able to run the CPU power cable through the back side of the case rather than over the top of the board like I had to with my previous PSU. I've had no issue with noise, of failure to function. This thing has had no issue while stress testing my system for 48hrs. At full load my system is running 635-640W. One added bonus, There are 8 SATA plugs, not 6 and 4x6+2 PCIE plugs not 2x6 pin. Nice to know that I can add more whatchamacallits to my system if the mood strikes. Great bang for the buck.

Cons: If you don't have a large case, cable management could be an issue. If that's an issue, buy the modular model.

Other Thoughts: The Specs on this should be updated on the website. there are more connections than are listed in the specs. As always Newegg was top notch. Ordered on Friday, arrived the next Tuesday.

2 out of 5 eggsMaybe Next One

This review is from: CORSAIR CX series CX750 750W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Corsair CP-9020015-NA Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: Decently priced Power Supply
Plenty of cords for everything I would use.
Quiet. Looks nice.

Cons: Power supply died after 10 days of use.
Worked great out of the box, but now computer no longer powers on. Swapped PSU with a 500W and computer is working again. Put Corsair 750 in a different computer and would not boot up.

Other Thoughts: The thought of returning this and exchanging it for the same model gives me trepidation.
At first I wasn't positive it was the power supply, as this was a completely new build and it could have been the motherboard, short in the case, or processor. Unfortunately the Corsair CX 750 failed.

Manufacturer Response:

1 out of 5 eggsDead Wiring

This review is from: CORSAIR CX series CX750 750W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Corsair CP-9020015-NA Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: Powered up my GPU the first time I used it.

Cons: Did not power up my GPU the subsequent times I tried to boot up. Dead PCI-E cables were to blame.

Other Thoughts: Newegg is awesome and RMA'd this hunk of junk for me.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome PSU for the price

This review is from: CORSAIR CX series CX750 750W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Corsair CP-9020015-NA Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: Only slightly bigger than same size as my previous 550W PSU - fit right into my case.

More cables than what I'll ever need. Cables are easy to manage, as well.

Quite silent.

Cons: Only con so far is the clip on the 24-Pin ATX connector doesn't clip on all the way to my motherboard. Therefore, if you gently tug on the cable assembly, it'll pop out of the socket on the motherboard. Not a major con at all, but I figured I'd put it out there.

Other Thoughts: I bought this PSU to replace (and upgrade) my 550W since I'm doing a few upgrades to my build and was going to need more juice. I've had this PSU for roughly 27 days now, used daily, and works great. No complaints at all on noise or installation.

1 out of 5 eggsTerrible coil whine

This review is from: CORSAIR CX series CX750 750W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Corsair CP-9020015-NA Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: Absolutely works within specifications, all voltages within spec.

Cons: Under any sort of significant load this power supply exhibited the _worst_ coil whine I have ever experienced. Until the replacement came in there were games and applications I simply could not run. Even with game audio turned up to high volume its piercing, pitching, oscillating tone was too distracting to deal with.

Other Thoughts: Attractive simple design, absolutely works within specs, but worth spending the money to get a PSU with quality components.

Manufacturer Response:
