5 out of 5 eggsYou need power?

This review is from: CORSAIR AX series AX760 760W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS PLATINUM Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: 760w PSU
no gaudy blinky lights
hybrid mode
220 and 110 volt interchangeable (I'm stationed in Germany)
Corsair made it (Fanboy)
ALL the wires are black. Very sleek

Cons: I feel like the cabling is a little overly rigid, it's a little scary to hear crunching noises when you're hooking up a semi-expensive power supply to fairly expensive components.

5 out of 5 eggsNo surprises

This review is from: CORSAIR AX series AX760 760W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS PLATINUM Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: Fully modular cable management is superb, its quiet, and best of all it all works exactly how you'd expect it should.

Cons: Who would dare add anthing to complain about? Oh wait, me.

The molex connectors on the PSU side shouldn't be molex. They feel brittle and push in a little too much for comfort.

Other Thoughts: Who like surprises when it comes to a standard? Not I!

This review is from: CORSAIR AX series AX760 760W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS PLATINUM Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: Very impressed with this PSU so far. Built extremely well, beautifully designed and colour coordinated to match my rig. Thought 760 watts may have been cutting it close to power both of my GTX760s in SLI, but it chews everything up and spits it out like nothing. Extremely happy with this purchase. Highly recommend their AX series to anyone looking for a high quality PSU.

Cons: None so far.

1 out of 5 eggsBoom on Day Four

This review is from: CORSAIR AX series AX760 760W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS PLATINUM Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: Looks good, modular setup is nice, very nicely packaged.

Cons: On the fourth day of ownership, I went to use my computer and it wasn't on. Power button was unresponsive. I then flipped the PSU switch off then back on and tried the computer's power button again and BOOM! The pop was so audible my wife came running downstairs wondering what happened. It also was enough to trip the room's circuit breaker. I can only speculate that there was an internal short in the PSU. Fortunately, I still have my OCZ PSU that this replaced. Hooked it up and my computer lives. I was really worried that it took my whole PC down with it.

Now to RMA, well, I already removed the UPC for a MIR, so returning it to Newegg was out. RMA process was smooth enough, but I just spent thirty bucks to return it!!!! So much for the price I couldn't turn down. Should've gone with the eVGA PSU I was eying.

Other Thoughts: Very disappointing Corsair!

5 out of 5 eggs30 Days In With No Complaints

This review is from: CORSAIR AX series AX760 760W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS PLATINUM Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: Well constructed. Plenty of cable length. Packaged Well. Absolutely silent under lower loads.

Cons: None that I can think of,

Other Thoughts: I saw a few complaints about coil whine and other issues like that, but have experienced none of those things. I sometimes think that maybe some of these folks are putting their PSU under extreme strain and then unhappy with the result. Then again, if I start to experience any coil whine I will be right back here to tell everyone about it. All things considered, this appears to be a very well made product and would buy/recommend.
