5 out of 5 eggsNice

This review is from: CORSAIR AX series AX760 760W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS PLATINUM Certified Full Modular Active PFC Corsair CP-9020045-NA Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: Very nice, quality power supply. Has a good weight, feels solid, internal components look to be high quality. Tight regulation, plenty of juice, great modular system, quiet. What more can you ask for?

Cons: It didn't solve my unrelated crashing problem. ;)

Other Thoughts: Only been installed for a day, impressed so far, but time will tell.

4 out of 5 eggs

This review is from: CORSAIR AX series AX760 760W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS PLATINUM Certified Full Modular Active PFC Corsair CP-9020045-NA Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: Fully Modular
Good packing/packaging

Cons: The cables seem a little loose when plugged into the power supply, but not loose enough to make me feel like they would come out by themselves or from general use.

Other Thoughts: A good product from Corsair. Will probably buy another one of their power supply's in the future.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat PSU

This review is from: CORSAIR AX series AX760 760W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS PLATINUM Certified Full Modular Active PFC Corsair CP-9020045-NA Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: Great PSU. Works to it's rated wattage value and can be pushed over a little bit. Great look, good cables. Delivers clean power, silently. Clearly marked cables and solid connectors.

Cons: Some may complain about the price when compared to others. Or the stiffness of the cables.

Other Thoughts: I bought this PSU to match my build, for it's modularity, power efficiency, operating volume, reliability. I custom sleeved the cables myself, and found that it actually has some redundancy cables on the 24-pin (actually has 28 cables). Just a bit interesting. These AX power supplies are great little things, I've used them for several builds and they're all going strong to this day!

5 out of 5 eggs

This review is from: CORSAIR AX series AX760 760W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS PLATINUM Certified Full Modular Active PFC Corsair CP-9020045-NA Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: I agree completely with the previous users that this thing is absolutely wreaking with quality. The PSU comes wrapped (inside of foam) with a soft carrying bag, the cables come in their own carrying bag. The cables are pretty stiff... thats not a con. I want stiff cables, but the cables incredibly stiff enough to be unbendable (see cons). Installation of a modular cable system was incredibly easy. My computer is in a smaller room and under high load, it can be a fairly effective space heater. I don't know if its my imagination, but this seems to help with the situation especially when compared to the TX750 I upgraded from. I don't even think the fan has fired up yet.

Cons: I did have a few problems with this PSU, but none major enough to knock an egg off for.
1. While the cables from start to the first SATA power port is fairly long, the length from port to port is slightly too short. If they were slightly longer I could run all my drives with 1 SATA cable. Its not much of a problem to use 2 cables, but I bought modular to clear out the cables.
2. My SSD is a 2.5" drive and my case has a 2.5" space on the very very bottom of the case, the screws stick out the bottom. It would've been really nice if there was some sort of reverse SATA power port to fit nicely in this, or am I the only one in this situation? This is where I meant that the cables weren't too stiff, because a little force on the cable part allowed them to turn at 90 degrees and it fit right in.

Other Thoughts: I did notice that there is a cable with 2 PCI-E 2+6-pin power plugins. My GTX560 requires 2, so I'm running it with the single cable. I also see theres 2 cables with 1 PCI-E each, which is how it was setup with the TX750. I'm just wondering if I'm going to run it to power problems on my GPU now because of this? Is 1 cable enough?

5 out of 5 eggssolid psu

This review is from: CORSAIR AX series AX760 760W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS PLATINUM Certified Full Modular Active PFC Corsair CP-9020045-NA Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: Great psu corsair delivers a great budget 760 watt supply, specifically geared towards enthusiasts.

Still 5 eggs for just a great product powers my sabertooth 990fx beautifully maintains my 4.6 clock on my 6300fx.
Gpus have yet to have an issue they remain factory clocked will repost if statuses decline after manual clocks are applied.

Cons: The cables are abit short so buy an extension for your motherboard connection if like me you like it behind the unit istead of over everything- mid tower will also need an extension my entroo pro def needed one

5 out of 5 eggsWorks as advertised

This review is from: CORSAIR AX series AX760 760W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS PLATINUM Certified Full Modular Active PFC Corsair CP-9020045-NA Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: Super quiet in either hybrid (of course) or normal mode. Bought to replace a 7 year old PC Power & Cooling S75QB 750W PSU which was working fine but I thought might be nearing its useful life (runs 24/7). I’ll hang on to it as a spare. The old PSU had very tight voltages but this unit is even better. Only need one PCI-e cable to run my GTX680 as it has two 6 (+2) pin plugs on the end which is working fine. My case is an Antec 900 and all cable lengths are more than adequate. It’s been running 48 hours now without a hiccup. No coil whine or any other noticeable noises. Now we’ll just see if it lasts. I have no reason to believe it won’t.

Cons: Not really a con, but it’s hard to find a definitive answer as to whether to run in hybrid or normal mode. Pros and cons for both. Anyway, I’m running in hybrid for 2 reasons. They wouldn’t have designed it to run this way and give you a 7 year warranty if they didn’t want you to use it. And second, this should keep the inside of the unit cleaner as it’s not having dust drawn inside continuously.

Other Thoughts: Not much provided on directions, but none really needed. I don’t understand how anyone could plug a cable into the wrong socket on the PSU. The CPU and PCI-e cables have an 8 pin plug and the SATA and peripheral cables have a 6 pin plug. I guess you could put the 6 pin plug into an 8 pin socket but you’d really have to work at it as there is also a tab on each plug assembly that keys into the PSU when the plug is centered with the socket. Before installing, I used the paper clip test to make sure the unit was functioning. This gave me some peace of mind before removing the old PSU. This is my first modular PSU and I doubt I could go back to non modular. Now I just have wait and see if the rebate comes through.

1 out of 5 eggsOn RMA #2 now

This review is from: CORSAIR AX series AX760 760W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS PLATINUM Certified Full Modular Active PFC Corsair CP-9020045-NA Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: None

Cons: The first unit I got worked for about 5 months without issue. Suddenly it started pumping too much voltage down the 3.3v. The RMA process started on 8/4/14, and I didn't get a replacement until 8/20/2014

The new unit died after turning my pc on 3 times. Now I get to start this long process all over again.

Oh, did I forget to mention that they're making me pay for shipping?
