5 out of 5 eggsLove me some efficient PSU's!

This review is from: CORSAIR AXi series AX760i 760W Digital ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS PLATINUM Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: This thing was amazing while it lasted (see other thoughts). The black sleeving is very nice. and the red with black color scheme matches my ROG color scheme perfectly. The efficiency that they putting into psu's is quite something.. especially with the higher wattage ones. Technology always surprises me with how fast it advances. I have had no issue powering my components which include a haswell i5k, 16gb 2133mhz ram, samsung pro ssd, wd black hdd and a rog mars 760.

Cons: No cons

Other Thoughts: During the Bad winter storms the eastern united states has had during the past winter there was one that couldve messed me up for good. It was a day I just installed my $650 Mars 760 gpu.. I was first testing it out on wow. and then all the sudden my power went out and a few seconds later i started smelling smoke from my pc area and the worry started growing on me. as the generator kicked on my pc booted up normally except for saying the psu shut itself off to prevent damaging other components. I tested all parts and came out ok. But was worried my psu wouldn't take another hit like that or have the same efficiency after that blow so I went ahead and bought another to replace it just as a precaution. This PSU saved my $2000 pc as all higher end models should do. I would recommend it to anyone.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome

This review is from: CORSAIR AXi series AX760i 760W Digital ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS PLATINUM Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: Solid, cool features, completely modular, very nice packaging, sleek looking and feels very well built.
No issues at all, running 2 quad core Intel Xeon E5 2603 V2 on a SUPERMICRO MBD-X9DR3-LN4F+-O with 48GB Ram. Fan never runs. Not a power geek, but have looked at the software management and it looks solid and delivers conditioned power. Never had an issues with the server at all, running 9+ VMs at once.

Cons: none

5 out of 5 eggsA spendid 760W PSU

This review is from: CORSAIR AXi series AX760i 760W Digital ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS PLATINUM Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: Its digital so you can mess with the line voltages and monitor same. Its corsair. Its fully modular. Really great packaging too. High quality cables and wrappings. I read some don't like the SATA cable aren't in mesh. I do because mesh collects more dust and are wider. They did the engineering right on this PSU.

Cons: I don't like the Corsair Link software that much. Its functional but doesn't suit my standards for a GUI. Its pricey and yes, I know its a Platinum

Other Thoughts: Go for it.

4 out of 5 eggsRandomly Reboots

This review is from: CORSAIR AXi series AX760i 760W Digital ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS PLATINUM Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: Very good PSU by all appearances. Not faulty at all. Worthy of its 80 PLUS rating.

Cons: Causes my Gigabyte motherboard to enter into random reboot cycles. Causes memory blue screens.

Other Thoughts: Many other owners of the Flextronics i-series are claiming the same thing.

1 out of 5 eggsDead after 17 days

This review is from: CORSAIR AXi series AX760i 760W Digital ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS PLATINUM Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: none, the stupid thing died, its usb statistics is cool but honestly not worth the money.

Cons: corsair normally has good quality. Apparently thats only on memory products. this thing is a hunk of junk as others have suggested. the thing started to just shut off randomly. after a day of that, it wont even post the pc. unplugged all of the components except for the mobo and it still does nothing, gets to C1 state and then shuts off.

5 out of 5 eggsSolid and sturdy

This review is from: CORSAIR AXi series AX760i 760W Digital ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS PLATINUM Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: Looks and feels very solid. Good cabling options. Great monitoring built in. Very quiet, auto fan.

Cons: For all the solid build and packaging, and apparent quality this PSU seeps.. the lower right case mounting screw is partially blocked by a circuit board.

Other Thoughts: It's worked flawlessly from the first powerup. Very smooth and hardly ever hear a whisper from it. The screw hole has me baffled though, how does this kind of oversight make it through production?? The one hole only allows depth clearance for half of the included screw. I checked for a short screw, no dice. Not a deal breaker on an otherwise awesome PSU, but annoyed that my shiny new build is marred by this one little missing screw that only I will ever know about. I may dremel a screw down.

Excellent pack-ins... however I can't for the life of me figure out why there's a PSU carrying bag... it'll only ever sit in the cable carrying bag....

I have mine installed upside down at the moment, per my cases air-cooling recommendation. It doesn't seem to mind.

This review is from: CORSAIR AXi series AX760i 760W Digital ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS PLATINUM Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: Using this to replace a dead power supply.Works very well & I like the flexabillty I have with the software & the dongle to make adjustments with fans & being able to easily monitor the power supply.
I have a MSI Z77A- GD80 MB
Intell Z77 3770K @ 4.6 GB
2 EVGA 660 Ti 3 GB video Cards In SLI set up
32 GBs 2400 GSKILL memory
Corsair H110 water cooler
Corsair 760 AXi PSU
I also like the fact that Corsair has Mod cables for a decent price to go with this unit. I have a blue color theme & bought the blue cables.

Cons: None so far
