GS series gaming power supply units offer efficient and reliable power delivery without comprising value and style. They are 80 PLUS Bronze certified with up to 85% energy efficiency under real-world load condition. Carefully selected components offer a temperature rating of 40° C for premium reliability. Color adjustable LED fan can switch between red, blue, white, and off settings by pressing the button on the back (600W model – blue or off mode only). The color accessory pack (available separately) allows you to swap out the blue accent ring to match your PC’s color scheme.

  • newegg Customize your look Your desire to customize your power supply can be satisfied now. The color ring accessory pack, available separately, lets you match your GS Series PSU's accent color to your system's look, and the fan has red, white and blue LEDs (blue only on the GS600) to bathe the inside of your system in soft light. Running in stealth mode? You can turn off the lighting with a hardware switch that's accessible from outside the case.
  • newegg Quiet Operation A good gaming power supply must provide the cooling you need when you're pushing it hard, but it should be quiet when you're not. GS Series PSUs accomplish this through excellent efficiency — it generates less heat, so it requires less cooling — and a temperature-controlled 140mm fan that automatically adjusts its speed to meet demand. It doesn't even spin up until it's needed.
  • newegg Reliable No matter what your budget, your PC's power supply shouldn't go before its time. GS Series PSUs are built with carefully selected components to deliver a temperature rating of 40° C, for years of service in punishing environments. The fan uses a double ball bearing design to help ensure that it lasts as long as the internal circuitry.
  • newegg Compatible GS Series PSUs are build-friendly, with enough connectors to power just about any gaming rig you can imagine, and extra-long cables for full-tower case support and creative cable routing. It fits any ATX PC case, and works with ATX, Micro ATX, Mini ITX, and E-ATX, and all other ATX-compatible motherboards.

1 out of 5 eggsRuns HOT

Pros: Quiet (because the fan doesn't run 24/7). LED lights are nice unless your case has the PSU located on the bottom like most Lian-Li cases. Contrary to what another reviewer posted, you can turn the LED fan light off. For me, the available selections include blue, red, white and off. Switch is located on back of unit.

Cons: Using this power supply in a NAS Server. It gets way too hot before the fan comes on, which creates excessive heat in my case. Doesn't seem to be a way to change the settings for when that fan comes on :\

Other Thoughts: If they're gonna offer the "Quiet" function, they should at least give us the option to enable/disable it, or better yet, set the temperature at which the fan comes on.

1 out of 5 eggsScrap Metal

Pros: Cool lights, many cables (can be a pro or con, see below)

Cons: Caused my computer to turn off and on repeatedly. Of course, since I ordered this before going on my New Year's vacation, by the time I had built my tower, troubleshot the problem, and concluded that the PSU was the root cause, I was past my return window. Wonderful.

If you do get a unit that works, this PSU comes with a a TON of cables. More than you probably need and they can't be disconnected. I replaced this unit with a 750W Ultra Hybrid Series (which only cost $90) and while my replacement unit might not be as flashy, it allows me to only plug in the power cables that I need, which frees up space in my tower and allows for better airflow. Oh, and it actually works.

Other Thoughts: I am extremely disappointed in this overpriced scrap metal and would recommend going with a product that was designed with function in mind, not just form.

1 out of 5 eggsFelt the power for a whole day.

Pros: Installed easily, LED lights were a nice touch, everything worked nicely for 24 hours.

Cons: After about a day the whole PSU died on me, very disappointing. Also, I was left with a lot of excess cords I didn't need and my computer case isn't exactly big so it got pretty cramped.

Other Thoughts: I just wanna use my new GTX770 GPU but now I can't since I have to resort to using my old 500w PSU until the gs800 is replaced. Bull horse...

4 out of 5 eggsgood. but odd noise when fan kicks in

Pros: powers computer just fine.
looks nice with bright leds.
smells like a elevator in a fancy hotel.

Cons: there is a odd noise when the fan starts that sounds like a clicking like something is rubbing the fans. not sure the source of the problem since i looked inside (without taking it apart) and the fan seems clear of obstructions. it dose not seem to be blocking the fan or affecting its cooling ability since the power supply never seems to get to warm but it is a bit annoying/nerve wreaking when your $2000 pc starts clicking at you. i would RMA it but its all installed with my OCD style cable management.

Other Thoughts: tldr: works, makes clicking noise, still works.

1 out of 5 eggsShoddy Customer Service

Pros: Unit still runs after a year and a half. Normally have had better than good luck with Corsair products. The low egg rating does not reflect Newegg at all, I have nothing but good things to say about Newegg in the 8+years I have been ordering from them.

Cons: I have the previous model to this one, and after a little more than a year, the switch that controls the led light function has gone out. Instead of sending me a new .50 cent switch, Corsair wants me to completely take apart my system and send in the whole PS unit and have a new one sent out. To me, this is not a viable option, not to mention that the reviews of the new GS800 have been less than stellar. I am going to escalate my issue, and hopefully it will get resolved, but as it stands, Corsairs customer service and tech support is not on my Christmas card list.

Other Thoughts: I have an OCZ gamestream 700 that has been in constant use for over 5 years, and have had no issue with the LED functions in it. I am surprised that Corsair's LED function went out so quickly.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome PSU

Pros: So far so good. In the middle of building a new rig and it powered up my old mobo without issue, and my new video card GTX 760. The fan is auto controlled only seen it turn on when booting up and a few times while gaming so far. Its a little loud but nothing to be worried about. The switchable Lighting is pretty sweet and is a plus for my white Corsair 600t case. (can be mounted upside down) It looks beautiful!

Cons: NOTHING so far, just hoping that it lasts. But the 3 year warranty should see to that.

Other Thoughts: Previously had a cheap Raidmax PSU that was about 50$. It lasted for just over a year. learned my lesson that you should never skimp out on your power supply.
