The CORSAIR CX Series CX600M Modular power supply offers the flexibility of modular cabling, high reliability and low noise. 600W power output makes it perfect for your medium specification home or office PCs that do not have high numbers of components. The flexible modular cabling system lets you use only the cables you need, and 80 PLUS Bronze certified efficiency means less excess heat, lower noise, and lower power bills. The large-diameter, thermally controlled fan makes the CX Series Modular quieter at idle, and the large diameter reduces noise even when you’re pushing your system hard. And, the matte black finish, black-sleeved cables and black connectors help give your system a restrained, high-tech look.

  • newegg Modular Cabling System Get a cleaner-looking build and improved airflow with the modular cabling system. Since the peripheral power cables aren’t hard-wired to the power supply, you can connect only the cables you need for your exact configuration of PCI-E cards and storage devices. The rest of the cables stay in the box, and not in your PC’s case where they can add to the clutter and interfere with airflow.
  • newegg Reliable and Compatible Designed by Corsair’s California engineering team, built to the exact specifications and tested to strict standards, the CX Series Modular power supply is reliable for smooth operation and offers seamless compatibility for trouble-free installation.
  • newegg Compute quietly 80PLUS Bronze certification offers up to 85% energy efficiency for less heat generation. Less heat means less noise from the fan. The thermally controlled fan spins in response to the temperature for quiet computing at low load, and the large diameter reduces noise even at high load. Enjoy quiet computing.
  • newegg Black Goes with Everything You’re building a PC, not a battleship, and appearance counts. The matte black finish, black-sleeved cables and black connectors help give your system a restrained, high-tech look.

5 out of 5 eggsGood, Good

Pros: What can I say, it works. I had switched to this PSU because I had purchased a DOA one a few weeks ago, and I really wanted something a bit more reliable. It's quiet, kicks out enough juice; no complaints here. And it's modular; it really helps cable management for tight cases.

Cons: None at this time.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect psu

Pros: It is all you really need. Im only using 1 of the 4 modular cables so they dont all need to be plugged in. The main connector is wrapped but the others are nice black flat cords.

Cons: None at all.

Other Thoughts: Buy it or wait until its on sale. its worth it

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: decent psu for the price

Cons: Screw mount points don't have a max depth, meaning you can mount the psu with screws that are long enough to touch stuff inside the psu that they shouldn't. I thought it was DOA until it started working after unmounting the psu.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: It's modular(not a gimmick as someone said).

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I'm not sure whether to blame this, my motherboard (ASRock 970 EXTREME3), or my own failure, but I had some trouble getting the 24 pin connector to sit right.

Someone said the modularity is a gimmick, as you have to use all the cables anyway, this was not true for me, I left 2 of them in the box while having 3 SATA drives plugged in.

Also, why have we taken to calling these "power supplies"?
It does not actually generate any power, it's a transformer!

On the cheaper side of the major players without being dirt cheap. Semi-modular. Works. Fan is quiet.
