5 out of 5 eggsAnother reliable low-cost CERTIFIED PSU from CORSAIR

This review is from: CORSAIR CXM series CX430M 430W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: I love the modular design of this PSU. Keeps my build looking neat and tidy. I would suggest getting this CX430M vs their standard CX430 PSU. Tech reviews state that the modular line has better quality components.

This PSU has been great and reliable. Even after overclocking my CPU and GPU, I've have not run into any power problems whatsover. I'm currently using an AMD A8-7650K CPU @ 4.3 GHz and a Sapphire R9 270 @ 1050 Mhz / 1500 Mhz -- both overclocked. My budget rig also has 1 SSD, 1 HD, 1 OD, and 2 fans. So far this 430 watt PSU is handling it great.

Cons: May need to upgrade PSU to more wattage if you will be getting the latest, greatest GPUs. Definitely so, if you will be running dual graphics.

4 out of 5 eggsWorkhorse

This review is from: CORSAIR CXM series CX430M 430W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: For small, medium/low power/cost builds these have been great. Semi-modular. Quiet, yet runs cool.

My rebate came through, yes that's a plus.

Cons: None, ... really.
Did not come with all cables in the lengths and configurations I wanted - waaah!

Other Thoughts: Price varies a bit, catch it on sale with the $20 rebate and it's hard to beat.
Currently in use on a
i7 Haswell mini-ITX, Asus MB, 16G, 1 optical, 2 SSD, 1 HD in a Coolmaster Elite 130, not oc'd, stock cooling.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat PSUs from Corsair

This review is from: CORSAIR CXM series CX430M 430W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Another great PSU from Corsair

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: My 5th PSU from Corsair and hopefully like the other 4, I will have no issues with this one. I have an AX750, used two TX650 in friends build, and a CX400 in my parents home PC. This one I used for a HTPC for my mom in the Corsair 250D mini ITX case. Installed easily and modular design kept down the clutter.

This review is from: CORSAIR CXM series CX430M 430W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: This is an awesome powersupply, i am using it on a pre built but thats because i got a gtx 960 and i needed better than a 300 to run it. It runs everthing very well im very pleased with this powersupply!

Cons: None i can think of other than if you have a bigger rig then you might need more than a 430

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Great and is Quiet

This review is from: CORSAIR CXM series CX430M 430W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: I bought a major brand PC on sale and put most of the components in a new case. I didn't want to use the OEM PSU, so I installed this PSU. I like the modular configuration and it makes for a much cleaner build. The CX430M has plenty of power, runs quiet and I never hear it running.

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: I don't use a lot of mega-watt components, so this unit has plenty of power and looks great. Even while running the Prime95 torture test, I don't hear it running.

5 out of 5 eggsI like this PSU

This review is from: CORSAIR CXM series CX430M 430W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Semi-Modular design really cleans up the case. I have this running in a CM elite 110 and the build would not be as clean using a standard PSU.
Worked perfectly right out of the box and I have no complaints.
Came with all the cables and a very clear manual.

Cons: A little bit pricey for what you get.
Maybe a limiting factor in upgrading to a higher quality gpu. Make sure you do your research before purchasing.

Other Thoughts: Do not get this if you plan to overclock and upgrade your gpu in the future. I am currently running an 15 4960 with igpu but I am hoping to upgrade to the GTX 970 soon. Aside from my case limitations on gpu, if I did want to get a r9 285x, gtx 980, or higher, I think this PSU would also have to be upgraded. So keep that in mind when building your system. Again, do your own research!

1 out of 5 eggsFailed on 35 day

This review is from: CORSAIR CXM series CX430M 430W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Corsair is a strong brand name. Installed well thanks to the modular cables. Fairly quiet and efficient for what it is as a 2ndary HTPC/Big Screen Gaming/Steambox.

Cons: Turned it on to hear that hear that heart wrenching electronic squeal of death.
Lasted just longer to be un-RMA-ble.

5 out of 5 eggsBest cheap power supply IMO

This review is from: CORSAIR CXM series CX430M 430W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: It's Modular.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: For the price you can't beat it. This was for the Wife's mini build. But I use the non modular ones for everything I build at work. Knock on wood, I have never gotten a bad one, and not a single one has gone bad. You really can't beat it for the price and quality.
