The CORSAIR CX Series CX430M Modular power supply offers the flexibility of modular cabling, high reliability and low noise. 430W power output makes it perfect for your low/medium specification home or office PC. The flexible modular cabling system lets you use only the cables you need, and 80 PLUS Bronze certified efficiency means less excess heat, lower noise, and lower power bills. The large-diameter, thermally controlled fan makes the CX Series Modular quieter at idle, and the large diameter reduces noise even when you’re pushing your system hard. And, the matte black finish, black-sleeved cables and black connectors help give your system a restrained, high-tech look.

  • newegg Modular Cabling System Get a cleaner-looking build and improved airflow with the modular cabling system. Since the peripheral power cables aren’t hard-wired to the power supply, you can connect only the cables you need for your exact configuration of PCI-E cards and storage devices. The rest of the cables stay in the box, and not in your PC’s case where they can add to the clutter and interfere with airflow.
  • newegg Reliable and Compatible Designed by Corsair’s California engineering team, built to the exact specifications and tested to strict standards, the CX Series Modular power supply is reliable for smooth operation and offers seamless compatibility for trouble-free installation.
  • newegg Compute quietly 80PLUS Bronze certification offers up to 85% energy efficiency for less heat generation. Less heat means less noise from the fan. The thermally controlled fan spins in response to the temperature for quiet computing at low load, and the large diameter reduces noise even at high load. Enjoy quiet computing.
  • newegg Black Goes with Everything You’re building a PC, not a battleship, and appearance counts. The matte black finish, black-sleeved cables and black connectors help give your system a restrained, high-tech look.

5 out of 5 eggsRunning A-OK

Pros: Running cool and quiet in a Cooler Master Elite 120 HTPC case with a ASRock mini-itx board, i3 2100t, MSI GTX650 ti boost, 3.5" HD and DVD burner. No issues at all.

Cons: Cables could be softer/more forgiving, even shorter, but that's not worth losing an egg.

5 out of 5 eggsPretty good

Pros: -80+ Bronze
-Semi-Modular
-Quiet
It can power a high end GPU. Do not plan on SLi/Crossfire with this.

Cons: (May not be for everyone)
-CPU power cable is short for cable management. I had to keep it in the front than the back.

Other Thoughts: My Specs:
CPU: AMD A8-5600k
Motherboard: MSI FM2-A75MA-E35
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 8gb (2x4gb) 1600MHz
HDD: WD Caviar Blue 500gb 7200RPM
PSU: Corsair CX430M
Case: NZXT Phantom 410 Red

Do not plan on SLi/Crossfire with this.

5 out of 5 eggsItem as described, meets all expectations of the Corsair name.

Pros: - Modular
- Consistent output
- Beautifully quiet
- Standard Size (5.5 Inches in length, leaving just enough room for a optical drive in an HTPC case.)

Cons: - None as of yet.

Other Thoughts: I would recommend this for any mid-tier build.

5 out of 5 eggsNever lets me down

Pros: for a 430w power supply this thing takes a beating. I run a GTX 460 (Power hungry!) and it never misses a beat. I ran a gtx 660ti and a power hungry FX-4100 overclocked and it never gave me a problem either!!!

Cons: dont listen to people who put this PSU down because it is truely reliable and a great quality product

Other Thoughts: Modular design is nice and the price is very attractive too. If you are doing SLI, etc. then this is not for you but it will power a 460/660ti with no problem, HIGHLY RECOMMEND

4 out of 5 eggsWorks

Pros: Works

Cons: Fan does spin, but where does the air go?
Even Jonny Guru asked the same question in their review.
However they found this to be a very good PSU.

Other Thoughts: Trusting Jonny Guru, is the reason I am not overly concerned with this product.
However, not feeling any air moving from a spining fan means...
I won't buy again
Will recomend against.
Thats just a really strange thing.
