3 out of 5 eggsCorsair CX

This review is from: CORSAIR CX series CX750M 750W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC ErP Lot 6 80 Plus Bronze Modular ATX12V & EPS12V Power Supply Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified

Pros: The HX model lasted for years before it died.
lots of plug ins
seems to work
7 year waranty

Cons: Nosier than HX model but that one costs more too.
No support at Corsair since one can't log into their warranty help section and no way to call in or send email for help when product dies.
Warranty no good since no way to contact the company

Other Thoughts: I will try another brand that might have better warranty support and maybe longer life.

This review is from: CORSAIR CX series CX750M 750W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC ErP Lot 6 80 Plus Bronze Modular ATX12V & EPS12V Power Supply Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified

Pros: Modular and Bronze Certified

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Only needed 600w for my setup, however both had rebates and the 750w ended up the same price after rebate.

3 out of 5 eggsNice power supply

This review is from: CORSAIR CX series CX750M 750W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC ErP Lot 6 80 Plus Bronze Modular ATX12V & EPS12V Power Supply Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified

Pros: semi modular, color matched my build

Cons: coil whine

Other Thoughts: nice little power supply. liked the green and black color. powers my gtx 980ti. only down side is under load it has some coil whine. pretty annoying, but you forget its there once you get into the game. id probably spend a little more and get a better power supply

4 out of 5 eggsSimple to install-Used for 1st BYO-PC

This review is from: CORSAIR CX series CX750M 750W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC ErP Lot 6 80 Plus Bronze Modular ATX12V & EPS12V Power Supply Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified

Pros: Multiple connections-easy to identify and snap in
Intelligent design (my nice way of saying it's pretty stupid proof)
Very quiet

Cons: If each cord was colored according to it's function-but that is probably because I'm new to building my own

Other Thoughts: This was an excellent choice giving me extra wattage for future expansion. The fact that it was about half the price was gravy :)

4 out of 5 eggsgreat product good luck with rebate

This review is from: CORSAIR CX series CX750M 750W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC ErP Lot 6 80 Plus Bronze Modular ATX12V & EPS12V Power Supply Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified

Pros: it is a great power supply no problems and easy set up.

Cons: good luck trying to get your rebate. filled out form and everything just for them to say that the UPC is not valid for rebate. the UPC was the only one on the box and corsar and newegg said it would be for the rebate.

1 out of 5 eggsIt worked great, until it shorted out...

This review is from: CORSAIR CX series CX750M 750W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC ErP Lot 6 80 Plus Bronze Modular ATX12V & EPS12V Power Supply Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified

Pros: The cable management is amazing!
Very easy to install
It's pretty quite

Cons: I've had this for about 4 months now and when I went to hit the power switch, it made a "popping" sound followed by a flash of light and then some white smoke came out of it. Luckily that's all that shorted out. I went ahead and put an old PSU in my rig and everything else is running great. I can't return the item now through Newegg, so it looks like I'll be buying something else for now.

2 out of 5 eggsBurning smell after 6 months

This review is from: CORSAIR CX series CX750M 750W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC ErP Lot 6 80 Plus Bronze Modular ATX12V & EPS12V Power Supply Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified

Pros: Worked fine for about 6 months of continuous use.

Cons: Power supply recently began to produce an intense burning smell, although it was still providing stable power - using no more than 500W max. Decided to unplug it because of the smell, and don't want to risk damage to the mobo or video card if it fails.

Other Thoughts: Not sure if I will bother with RMA on this PS. Will be replacing it with one from a different manufacturer. I won't be buying CORSAIR power supplies in the future.

5 out of 5 eggsHasn't failed, cheap.

This review is from: CORSAIR CX series CX750M 750W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC ErP Lot 6 80 Plus Bronze Modular ATX12V & EPS12V Power Supply Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified

Pros: -Still works
-Works on very high load (2 R9 280x's and and overclocked FX-8320)
-Modular, so if you don't need some cables, you can free up space in your case.

Cons: -None.

Other Thoughts: I know Corsair PSUs aren't the best, but this one hasn't failed me yet!

2 out of 5 eggsGood while it lasted

This review is from: CORSAIR CX series CX750M 750W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC ErP Lot 6 80 Plus Bronze Modular ATX12V & EPS12V Power Supply Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified

Pros: Pros:
Modular, nice fan, Black color really matches inside of my case.

Cons:
It only lasted for about a week. Now it's deadweight on my floor.

Cons: Cons:
It only lasted for about a week. Now it's deadweight on my floor. Was using it to replace my 650 W Antec PSU, but since it died, I'm back to using it, so there shouldn't be a question about power consumption.

Other Thoughts: Corsair, Please let me return this.

1 out of 5 eggsDefective Product

This review is from: CORSAIR CX series CX750M 750W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC ErP Lot 6 80 Plus Bronze Modular ATX12V & EPS12V Power Supply Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified

Pros: Corsair brand, 750W, Semi-Modular, 80- plus bronze certified, $20 rebate, manufacturers warranty.

Cons: When shutting down the system it automatically reboot. Problem goes away when I put the old CX600M back in.

Newegg replacement policy: Please be aware that Newegg policy is not to refund or replace the unit unless the UPC code is still attached to the box (You know, the one that I had to cut out to get the rebate). To their credit, Newegg has agreed to give me a one-time exception (I would hope so, as this upgrade was $1000 and most of the parts were purchased from Newegg). Also, all original packaging and component pieces must be returned as well.

Other Thoughts: Yes, I buy a lot of Corsair products: memory, PSU, fans etc and all have performed flawlessly. I guess I got a "dud" this time. Also, this is the highest wattage PSU that I have ever purchased. Perhaps, the the higher the wattage, the more prone that they are to defects.
