1 out of 5 eggsGarbage product, Garbage customer service. Don't buy from Corsair!

This review is from: CORSAIR CXM series CX750M 750W ATX12V v2.3 SLI CrossFire 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: Powers up my system.

Cons: Before I begin, I want to let you readers know that I am partially deaf and that my system is inside a Fractal Define R4(non glass window) computer case. With that being said, the noise that came out from the first psu that I've received was awfully loud even for a partially deaf person with a sound proof case. The coil whine and the whirl sound was very VERY noticeable even while gaming and I could not tolerate it. It was very upsetting because I bought this psu solely after reading many reviews which I now convinced that most of them are probably from Corsair company. Anyways, so I called Corsair to tell them how upset I was and to get a replacement and they put me on hold for 15 minutes from the get go. Then they try to compensate for their awful customer service by giving me a pre paid label(like that's going to fix anything) to ship back their garbage that I bought from them to get a new and hopefully non whining product like how it is supposed to be. So anyways I just received my replacement a week ago and I didn't even touch it until tonight. I just recently got done hooking the replacement to my system and I am so freaking disappointed and sad to the max. I spent about an hour carefully doing cable management to make everything look nice, hoping that this would be it only later to know that Corsair has wasted my time once again with their garbage . The 'replacement' that they've sent me sounds exactly like the first psu that I've received, extremely loud and intolerable. I swear Cosair sent me the SAME thing back to me but this time they'ved wrapped it up in new wrapping. I believe the price that they put on this psu says a lot. It's cheap because the product is cheap. DO NOT buy this garbage product and I highly recommend you to not buy Corsair products. You will waste money and time and be very disappointed and sad like me. Thanks for reading my review, I hope you guys can find it helpful.

Other Thoughts: Should've known that the cheap price on this product meant something. I will be looking forward towards an EVGA psu. Hopefully they will not disappoint me like Corsair has.

Other Thoughts: It was hard to push in the 24 pin. Harder than usual

1 out of 5 eggsburn out

This review is from: CORSAIR CXM series CX750M 750W ATX12V v2.3 SLI CrossFire 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: worked well while it lasted I liked the flat cables

Cons: burnt out after two months taking my motherboard out which ASUS would not warranty? and a RIPJAW stick CORSAIR on the other hand processed my return in a rather sluggish matter but it was painless all the same unlike ASUS and so did GSKILL
it would be difficult to give more than one star to a product that failed causing damage

2 out of 5 eggsIt Gets the Job Done, but...

This review is from: CORSAIR CXM series CX750M 750W ATX12V v2.3 SLI CrossFire 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: It does what it is supposed to
Modular
Nice design

Cons: Extremely noisy.. to the point where I can hear it over all of my fans (HAF 932) and my liquid cooling

Other Thoughts: The noise is terrible.. it is actually unbearable the whining that comes from it. I've already had to RMA one when I first got it and this one is WORSE. I don't know what to do about this PSU anymore because it is just annoyingly loud.. and it shouldn't be.

1 out of 5 eggsLasted 5 months

This review is from: CORSAIR CXM series CX750M 750W ATX12V v2.3 SLI CrossFire 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: Quiet, good long cables. Modular design reduces clutter and improves airflow. Happily, Corsair was prompt about issuing an RMA number, since it has a 3 year warranty.

Cons: Mine died after 5 months. That's a bit lower than the 8 years I got out of my previous Antec PSU, I have to pay to ship it back to them. I shipped the package yesterday, so I have not yet gotten a replacement (it likely hasn't arrived yet). I will update this review once this situation is resolved.

5 out of 5 eggsRock solid!

This review is from: CORSAIR CXM series CX750M 750W ATX12V v2.3 SLI CrossFire 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: Over a year now and still going strong. Never had a single issue with heat, supply, cables, or installation. Excellent design that keeps on keeping on. The modular cables are well wrapped and make my case clean and well ventilated without any excess.

Cons: none I can think of

1 out of 5 eggs2 Defective Units in a Row

This review is from: CORSAIR CXM series CX750M 750W ATX12V v2.3 SLI CrossFire 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: N/A. Never powered anything

Cons: I ordered the first unit, took it out of the box, did an out of case test, and it was defective. Some reviews on here had said that some of these units are defective, so I thought that I just was unlucky. I RMAd it and received another new unit a week or so later. I did the same test, and nothing happened at all. I have yet to been able to use my PC because of the poor quality PSUs I keep receiving.

Other Thoughts: Be wary of this product. Many people have had problems with this product/company. Luckily Newegg's customer service can help you out usually, but that does not excuse this product for not working twice in a row. I will definitely not be using this brand again.

Manufacturer Response:

5 out of 5 eggs

This review is from: CORSAIR CXM series CX750M 750W ATX12V v2.3 SLI CrossFire 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: Very decent price for power and performance/quality. More than enough power for a Gaming/power user PC.
Looks good, Almost fully modular with sleeved cables so it is easy to manage.
Reliable. That is why I go with a Corsair PSU in a Build.

Cons: None for me in over a year of use.

Other Thoughts: the CX series is Corsairs Entry Level PSU. If your going all out and overclocking your i7 4770k and R9 290X then a CX750M is a bit light for that type of use. But for Most gaming builds this is a good buy.
