5 out of 5 eggssweet

This review is from: CORSAIR CXM series CX750M 750W ATX12V v2.3 SLI CrossFire 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: upgraded to this semi-modular from a non-modular one and its awesome. made more space in the case obviously and just made me feel good that the insides of my computer doesnt look like a spaghetti monster of cables.

the psu itself feels well made and sturdy. i bought it on sale and dont regret a thing.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: dont really notice any noise coming from it which is neat. especially since i designed my build around silence. i have the fractal design r4 case and their silent fans to match. it really is quiet.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat For PC Builders With A $1K-to-$3K Budget!

This review is from: CORSAIR CXM series CX750M 750W ATX12V v2.3 SLI CrossFire 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: Go to Corsair or just stay here at Newegg to see all the details, and let me tell you, they are not lying. This PSU is just amazing! I can't wait to get 3 EVGA GeForce GTX 970 Superclocked ACX 2.0s in a 3-way SLI next year!

Cons: In my Thermaltake Commander G42 Window, I tried to get the motherboard power connector behind the backplate, and it has a little stress staying in my ASRock Z77 Extreme4, but maybe that is just my case. Other than that, this is a great PSU for someones 1st or 2nd build! So if this motherboard connect is just the problem with my case, then there are no cons!

Other Thoughts: I think it should have 80 PLUS Silver, it has a nice power efficency.

5 out of 5 eggsGood product so far

This review is from: CORSAIR CXM series CX750M 750W ATX12V v2.3 SLI CrossFire 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: Good Power Supply that offers a lot of watts... 80+ Bronze (not gold, but bronze) Semi-Modular cabling. Motherboard cables are wired into the PSU permanently but everything else is removable.

As for performance? I think so far it's been setting at maybe half load or less even under load meaning it's possible that it isn't even reaching half of what it's capable of. Still, it's a good PSU. :)

Cons: None that I can see as of yet.

Other Thoughts: Consider this review part 1 of 2. I bough this PSU with the intention of upgrading my current rig but I've come to realize that this computer is so old that I doubt an upgrade would really help me that much.

So, I'm going to be building my very first custom machine once I get the money to order the parts and will be reusing this PSU as it's "heart" if you will.

I'll write in a part 2 once I do and should have a better idea of what this PSU is truly capable of.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat PSU

This review is from: CORSAIR CXM series CX750M 750W ATX12V v2.3 SLI CrossFire 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: Great power supply overkill for my system but the modular cables are great.

Cannot hear the fan over anything else on my system, which does get pretty loud at full tilt.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Newegg free shipping is great I ordered on a Saturday afternoon and had it lunch time on Monday. That is AMAZING for free 4-7 day shipping.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Power Supply

This review is from: CORSAIR CXM series CX750M 750W ATX12V v2.3 SLI CrossFire 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: Great power supply. Came nicely packaged worked perfect out the box and so far its working great in my first build (which I am using right now lol). Very quiet fan everything runs great.

Cons: None that I could think of.

Other Thoughts: When me and my dad were putting together my PC we accidentally stripped one of the holes on the bottom left corner, either because part of the case was in the way (Corsair 500r) or some other reason. But either way this PSU is working as it should.

2 out of 5 eggsWorks well, but coil whine is LOUD!!!

This review is from: CORSAIR CXM series CX750M 750W ATX12V v2.3 SLI CrossFire 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: Powerful, modular, plenty of connections, solid construction.

Cons: Under load, coil whine is louder than Video card fans, Stock intel CPU cooler, and spinning hard drives combined. Considering the noise, the price is not great for what you get.

Other Thoughts: I can't overstate how insanely loud the coil whine is. When I first heard it, I thought the compressor on my refrigerator (next room) was grinding itself to pieces, or that the neighbor's truck's brake pads had worn to the rivets, and he was driving around the block with the pedal down.

So many reviews discuss this noise, and it seems like it is part of normal working operation: Many of the owners RMAed them, only to find the replacement had the same problem. I should have looked for the reviews before purchasing. I returned this PSU within a day or two and bought an enermax 630W.

4 out of 5 eggsGood PSU

This review is from: CORSAIR CXM series CX750M 750W ATX12V v2.3 SLI CrossFire 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: Its works and run well.

Cons: cables are too short.

Other Thoughts: Had an issue with it at start up where it would not supply power to the system. Not sure what the cause or problem was that occurred but I reseated the cables, and she worked. Thus far no issues at all. Smooth even power supply.

1 out of 5 eggsDown right awful

This review is from: CORSAIR CXM series CX750M 750W ATX12V v2.3 SLI CrossFire 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: it worked while it lasted.

Cons: within the first week of building my pc, i got a random shutdown. i didnt think much of it at the time, until 3 weeks after. it was shutdown after another. it would work for awhile then again turn off. Turns out this was just a cheaply made tier 3 psu. I'm replacing it with a Seasonic M12 II 850W.
