3 out of 5 eggsNoisey Fan Controllers

This review is from: CORSAIR CSM Series CS750M 750W ATX12V v2.4 and EPS 2.92 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Wonderful warranty, product and stable output volts

Cons: Terrible product updates. Everyone who has purchased these and some of the older TX PSU's complain of fan squeal when the fan is in between off and just starting to spin. This has been an issue with Corsair for over a year yet they do not recall them to prevent folks from having to experience the RMA process and the added work of installing a PSU twice or more.

Other Thoughts: Amazing to see the lower budget builder series of PSU's trying to sell for $80 to $100. They don't have a long warranty, no zero spin fan, smaller fans and likely much more less inside of the case than the PSU's that should be priced in the $80 to $100 range. My guess is the CS and CX models could sell for $49 and still make a fair profit providing that Corsair makes manufacturing changes to prevent the fan controller from making high pitched squeals, even when brand new !!

5 out of 5 eggsVery Nice PSU!

This review is from: CORSAIR CSM Series CS750M 750W ATX12V v2.4 and EPS 2.92 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: - Semi Modular
- Nice Gold Efficiency
- Includes all of the "optional" cables you will ever need

Cons: - None

Other Thoughts: A very nice, budget friendly, PSU. If you are on a budget, I highly recommend you go with this. The Semi Modular is probably the seller, since it only has the 4 Pin and 24 CPU power cables attached when you get it. All the rest of the SATA and PCI power cables come separate.

2 out of 5 eggsWas nice while it lasted

This review is from: CORSAIR CSM Series CS750M 750W ATX12V v2.4 and EPS 2.92 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: While it was running, it was very quiet.

Cons: Died without warning after less than a year. My computer shut itself down during normal use and would not power back up. A diagnostic at the local repair shop confirmed that the power supply had gone. Somewhat disappointing as I'd gone with a gold-rated PSU in an attempt to avoid this sort of thing.

1 out of 5 eggsNot good

This review is from: CORSAIR CSM Series CS750M 750W ATX12V v2.4 and EPS 2.92 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: i will say, none

Cons: i bought it, started making loud noise after 2 day, ive open it, everything seems okay. after 2 week of buzzing noise ive order another one , because i normally love corsair product. My new one, wich i ordered 3 day ago, started buzzing right after the installation.

Other Thoughts: i will never buy a corsair product again.

1 out of 5 eggs

This review is from: CORSAIR CSM Series CS750M 750W ATX12V v2.4 and EPS 2.92 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: - Semi-modular
- Fairly priced
- Great efficiency
- Cables were barely long enough for my LIAN LI PC-A75 Full ATX full tower case

Cons: -Started making a humming/buzzing noise after working flawlessly for a while, twice. (see other thoughts)

Other Thoughts: I ordered this PSU back in May of 2014, and in about a month it started making a loud humming/buzzing noise. After contacting Corsair, I had it replaced with a new one free of charge (thanks for that). The new one lasted until November 2014, before starting to make the same noise again.

I'm reluctant to buy Corsair PSUs in the future even though I really liked their customer support.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear customer,

We're deeply sorry for the inconvenience. Please give us a call at 888-222-4346 and we'll work with you to find a way to improve your experience with our power supplies.

2 out of 5 eggsNoise

This review is from: CORSAIR CSM Series CS750M 750W ATX12V v2.4 and EPS 2.92 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Easy to use, I guess.

Cons: The PSU fan makes a faint stuttering noise which is absolutely ridiculous for a new power supply. It isn't that loud yet but I've had corsair PSUs that eventually get very audible and for this to start so soon is a very bad sign. I might try to get it replaced but then you have the very large hassle of replacing a psu...

3 out of 5 eggsInitially great, starting to decline

This review is from: CORSAIR CSM Series CS750M 750W ATX12V v2.4 and EPS 2.92 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Great price, good size/footprint, partly modular, good cable length

Cons: Not fully modular (mainboard and CPU power are fixed)
Started to hum/vibrate within 8 weeks, getting worse

Other Thoughts: I purchased this on 6/8/2014. Around early July it began to occasionally hum/vibrate. Now, it does so every time within an hour of running, and it's getting worse. Removed, doesn't appear that any bugs or debris is inside. If you're looking for a slient rig, you may want to look elsewhere for PSU.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer,

Thank you for the review. We're sorry to hear that your PSU started buzzing and vibrating, feel free to contact us at 888-222-4346 or submit at ticket at corsair.force.com and we'll be more than happy to replace the unit for you.

5 out of 5 eggsDoes what it needs to do

This review is from: CORSAIR CSM Series CS750M 750W ATX12V v2.4 and EPS 2.92 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: I haven't yet pushed it near the 750 watts, but after a few bad experiences with Roswill and Raidmax PSU's, this is a breath of fresh air. It simply works.

Cons: Wires feel thin, makes me nervous.

1 out of 5 eggsDead in 4 weeks

This review is from: CORSAIR CSM Series CS750M 750W ATX12V v2.4 and EPS 2.92 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: It was on sale

Cons: Loud, died quickly.

Other Thoughts: Don't buy it. It's not worth the headache.
