5 out of 5 eggsWorks great and looks great

Pros: I placed the order on 7/29 and I got it on 8/02. It took me about half an hour to install everything. I tested all the ports and everything works great as expected - speed is fine. I have a SYSTEMAX mid tower case gaming rig with a MSI P67A -C43 mobo and a 550 PSU. It has two USB 3.0 port in the back and now I have four in the front! It 's a lot easier now to transfer files simultaneously from our mobile devices. I think the price is reasonable and the components are not flimsy. I used three of the four screws and it sits permanently well.

Cons: None. If I were a computer, I feel complete.

4 out of 5 eggsideal when you lack the header, but have the ports

Pros: - Fits well
- good spacing for wider USB drives
- molex power ensures sufficient wattage
- great when your case doesn't have the front 3.0 ports

Cons: - doc'd an egg because it appears like the one I received had been opened and tampered with
- couldn't find a vertical port configuration of the same series product
- doesn't make coffee for you.

Other Thoughts: Using this one on my Antec P180 case in the only front 2.5" external slot. Fits well with the Antec brackets. Note that the P180 swivel door won't close while a USB device is in the hub.
Note that this hub relies on an existing USB 3 port, NOT the header on the motherboard

1 out of 5 eggswaste of time

Pros: none can,t hook it up

Cons: the bay comes with an external 3,0 to a mini cable instead of an internal 3.0 20 pin t0 mini to connect it up properly would have to buy the cable seperatly

Other Thoughts: even worse i called bytecc and the tec there said they did not even carry the proper cable and told me to just run the cable they supplied outside of my tower to the external conector. told hium why would i connect in internal product externally i myself am returning it

1 out of 5 eggsBuyer Beware

Pros: It has none the product worked for one day then died. Tried sending back for a refund or a replacement newegg will not rma the product beings it is over 30 days. Only receives one egg because newegg requires you to put 1-5

~~~~~~ Buyer Beware ~~~~~~~
Cons: Windows detected a surge on the product 2 days after installing it so I unplugged it before it fries my $1600.00 Mojo.
~~~~~~~~~ Buyer Beware ~~~~~~~~

Other Thoughts: Dont bother trying to RMA anything you buy from newegg if it is 31 days old!

~~~~~~~~~~~Buyer Beware ~~~~~~~~~~
5 out of 5 eggsUSB 3 HUB
Pros: Mounting on the front of my Kingwin KT-424 mid-tower case, I find that I use this speedy interface heavily for mostly flash drive data transfers to my other computers. I also like the green LEDs on the fron that confirm a connection. Naturally, I enjoy the USB 3 speed improvement, which is significant. I usually have 3 USB 3 flash drives mounted all the time.
Cons: While the short side mounts are sufficient, I would have made the mounting strips on the side longer for a steadier mounting using 2 screws on each side instead of 1. I move USB flash drives in and out of this hub everyday, which means somewhat busy use. However, I am not suggesting that it is shaky. But, I had a little trouble with the one screw mount on the right side with my particular case. I finally drilled a new hole in my case mounting bar to achieve alignment.
Other Thoughts: Fine product.
1 out of 5 eggsOkay for a week
Pros: Easy to install.
Cons: After about two weeks, got a constant error saying that a USB port was drawing too much power. Unplugged this thing (which is powered by a power supply connection) and the error went away.
Other Thoughts: I didn't really need the 3.0 USB. Just wanted extra USB connections on the front of my machine. Now I need to get around to removing this thing and plugging up the hole it will leave in front. At least it was cheap.
5 out of 5 eggsDoes the job
Pros: Does what I expected it to do, no problems here. Looks nice in my case and functions well.
Cons: Wish it had internal connection, rather than the wire that runs to the back of the case.
Other Thoughts: Put this in my new build to add more USB ports to the front. It also adds a more finished look to the case. USB 3.0 that is backwards compatible and convenient.
4 out of 5 eggsBytecc USB3.0 4-port internal hub
Pros: I copy hard drives with very large files (3 to 6 GB typical) and the amazing speed of USB 3.0 is very necessary. I have 2 rear panel USB ports on my MoBo, and I plugged this baby into one of them, applied power to it, and I can plug my passports and go-flex drives into the front panel now. I have not lost any speed, but have greatly improved accessibility.
I can't figure why the negative ratings, but this little beauty is NOT junk. Easy to install, lights up each device port, and zips along at USB 3.0 speeds. I tested using identical files on identical drives using this device, and then using the stock front-panel USB 2.0 ports. . . It is DEFINITELY USB 3.0.
If you want speed up front, and have an availabvle USB 3.0 port to plug it into (and power), then buy this! If you don't already have USB 3.0, get the type that plugs into your PCI-e slot. Love this hub.
Cons: Had to hot-glue the cables to insure they stayed put.
5 out of 5 eggsRear Panel to Front Bay
Pros: Quality connectors, good workmanship. When adding this component to my system I was very impressed with the quality of parts used in its construction. The internal cable connection fit very snug as did the front connection ports when inserting a flash drive into each of them.
The USB 3.0 cable is type "A" to type "B". The type "B" allows the cable to enter the case through the water access port on the back of my case instead of through one of the expansion slots.
The mount screws threaded easily and the unit slid easily into the 3.5" bay from the front.
All four ports and their activity lights worked fine.
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: My motherboard does not have front panel 3.0 support with only two USB 3.0 rear panel ports. This unit provided front access as well as additional ports.
The USB 3.0 cable is blue. I suppose the color of the cable would be called "USB 3.0 Blue" to match the blue inherent with 3.0 connectors. I would have preferred a black cable.
If it was more important, I could just wrap the cable using black vinyl tape.
1 out of 5 eggsDon't Waste Your Money
Pros: N/A
Cons: Doesn't work as USB 3.0 hub. Plugged my USB 3.0 drive into the hub and it came back as 2.0 only with a warning that my device would be faster if I plugged it into a SuperSpeed port. The drive works fine when plugged directly into the motherboard. Tried newer drivers and firmware. Still the same.
