Pros: Well, it looks pretty good, it's aluminum, it's cheap, the little green light comes on
Cons: Mine doesn't work. I tried 3 different computers, both XP and Ubuntu, and I tried 2 different hard drives in it. XP detects but will not install it, even with the extra usb power cord plugged in. Ubuntu doesn't even recognize that it is present.
Other Thoughts: I'm sure I just got a defective unit and most wouldn't have these problems, but I won't be buying another of these.

Pros: Small, lightweight enclosure Separate USB power connection if needed Does exactly what it is supposed to do Durable Great price Flawless with Linux or lesser OS's
Cons: none for me
Other Thoughts: Ive had one of these for several years and it has been a solid performer as a portable data drive enclosure.

Pros: Inexpensive and easy to assemble. It worked as stated.
Cons: Seems a bit flimsy, but it has been working fine. It is USB only, so the transfer is slower then Firewire or eSATA. Also, this is only for IDE drives, not SATA.
Other Thoughts: I needed this to clone an old dying Laptop drive, so I did not want to spend a lot of money. For the price and what I needed it for, I gave it 5 eggs. I would not trust anything much less expensive to do the job, but I do not expect to be cloning many IDE drives in the future.
