Its industrial grade components provide stable and steady output, and protection against power and voltage surges. The power supply sports two +12V rails (12V1, 12V2), which allow support for the most high-end of PC systems. 2 out of 5 eggsSpend your money elsewhere

Pros: None. Although it did have a pretty blue light...for a second!

Cons: Installed the power supply, had everything connected correctly. Turned it on and it made a loud pop, then made a loud whistling noise that slowly died off. Turns out it shorted. Very disappointed. You get what you pay for! Guess I just got a bad unit. Ended up buying something else. Oh and it killed my new motherboard as well.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Rated to the 680W like stated. Most efficient at 70%.

Cons: None that I see.

Other Thoughts: I bought this one because it fit my app exactly. My power needs put it also most exactly at the PSU most efficient rate of 70% (my came in at need 68%).

1 out of 5 eggsGreat while it lasted...

Pros: Great price, good wattage and fairly quiet adjustable fan.

Cons: It has started shutting down for no reason whatsoever.

Other Thoughts: I bought this in June 2012 so I am out of luck on the warranty, but the power supply has started randomly shutting down. It is nowhere near its wattage limit and it definitely is not running hot. At first, it would do this about once a month... be running along smoothly then BAM, no power. Now it is doing it about once a week. It is quite annoying when I lose whatever I am doing at the moment. I will be shopping for a new power supply but I doubt it will be another Apevia.

4 out of 5 eggsBLUE!

Pros: It has 3 fans!! If you're lucky enough to have a vent on the bottom (or top, depending on how your case's PSU set is) it's great to stick that fan there to pull cool air from underneath. The fan control is nice too. Solid power!

Cons: Not modular. So, cable management is pretty weak. Also, a switch to be able to turn off the light at night would be nice.

5 out of 5 eggsI've come to the conclusion that...

Pros: 3 fans, quiet, lots of cables

Cons: not modular

Other Thoughts: ...power supplies are the most harshly reviewed things on Newegg running a close second to mobos. But I ordered this one despite some negatives, and you know what? It works just fine. It's powering a GTX 650 Ti, an AMD FX-8320 flawlessly, 2 spinner HDs, 1 DVD drive, and the usual fans. This system has been on for 3 days straight now without a hiccup.

And I have no idea why everyone seems to think the cables are stiff. They're no stiffer than any other sleeved cables I've used. It would be nice if it was modular, but you get what you pay for I guess. Also it is NOT LOUD even with the fans at full blast. I have single fan power supplies that are much louder than this one.

4 out of 5 eggsLow cost makes it worth it

Pros: Works great. Fairly quiet. Never had a problem with it in over a year of ownership. Plenty of cables or all your needs.

Cons: If you're looking for cable management, this isn't the power supply for you. I've got extra cables that I don't use just hanging around. I will be upgrading to a modular power supply out of personal preference.

Other Thoughts: If you'll be using plenty of cables for various SATA or PCIe devices, then this PSU is great. If not, then you'll have extra cables that you don't need. I suggest a modular power supply if you don't plan on using every cable that this PSU comes with.

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: It would run everything I need it to if it had actually worked when it arrived

Cons: When I hooked up the power supply nothing turned on, I tried the power cord that was included, and others I know work. After uninstalling the power supply I tried to power it on without being connected to anything to make sure it wasn't a ground fault, and still got nothing. So far I'm not impressed, and somewhat irritated that I now have to pay another $18 minimum to return it for a replacement.

Other Thoughts: I was waiting for this power supply so I could install my new video card which I ordered the same day, but received 2 days earlier. Now rather than receiving them around the same time, I'm probably looking at 6-9 days before it even get processed to replace the faulty unit. We'll see how quickly I get a turn around, depending on how fast I receive my order (and whether my replaced item works) I may or may not use NewEgg again.

4 out of 5 eggsMixed feelings

Pros: I like the 3 fan design, I'm always confident its getting good airflow. The controller is a nice touch
LEDs for those who want it, along with blue sleves

Cons: Not 80+ certified, so not as efficient
Some cables are too short to route in the back.

Other Thoughts: This is a Single Rail PSU, so be aware if you prefer multiple rails.
Over time the color and lights got undesirable for me, and after upgrading most of my hardware it doesn't go together at all. if you update frequently and care about looks, I'd get a different PSU

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Product

Pros: Great PSU no problems voltage is right on almost all the time and the blue lights are a plus too looks great

Cons: the fan speed control does not do much but is still very quiet

Other Thoughts: it is a little deeper than other PSUs may want to take that into account if you are running on low space or small case
