It offers Universal Input, which along with ATX12V v2.2 and EPS12V compliance ensures that you can use it in a variety of situations and almost everywhere, without worrying about input voltages.

It's designed to keep you playing for a long time, with a MTBF (Mean Time Before Failure) of 100,000+ hours. Its industrial grade components provide stable and steady output, and protection against power and voltage surges. The power supply sports two +12V rails (12V1, 12V2), which allow support for the most high-end of PC systems. It has one Main connector (20 + 4 pin), 1 x 12V (P4) (4/8 pin), eight peripherals, two PCI-E, two Floppy, and four SATA connectors.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat PSU, Great Price

Pros: Good quality, fan control, quiet

Cons: Not Modular

Other Thoughts: This is a great PSU. I have had this in my PC for 3 years now and it still works perfectly. I wish it was Modular but even though it isn't, the cabling is very long allowing many different configurations. The sleeves on the cabling is good quality as well. I would recommend this to anybody looking for a good PSU on a smaller budget.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat power supply

Pros: dual 12v rails, adjustable fan speed, has 3 fans, fans are quite even if on highest speed. Has long cables, cables are in sleeves allows a lot of installation options.

Cons: None that I have come across as of yet

Other Thoughts: A great power supply, going to buy another for my other computer.

2 out of 5 eggsDied a couple days under 1 year.

Pros: Worked well out of box. Not bad for a casual user.

Cons: Dead in just under 1 year. Under the heavy use I put it through it couldn't keep up. Started with minor problems and completely crapped out in just under 1 year.

Other Thoughts: I make gaming YouTube video's and my computer runs at high power over 15 hours a day. Under that stress the power supply could not handle and burned out. If you don't use the computer that much may not be bad. For only little bit more I recommend going with a Thermal Take with the 80 plus rating for a more reliable and more efficient power usage.

Manufacturer Response:

You can do an RMA through us for the power supply to get an exchange on the PSU if you are still under our warranty period. You can contact Apevia's customer service at service@apevia.com or call at (909) 718-0789. We try to reply to all calls and e-mails as soon as we can.

5 out of 5 eggsBetter than expected

Pros: OK - so, color me impressed - this turns out to be better than I'd expected - since the specs don't match what's on Newegg. Turns out there are 2 more SATA power connects and 2 more Molex connectors (for a total of 6 each).

The 20+4-pin ATX main power and 8-pin ATX 12V (splitable to 2x4 pin) are on seperate rails.

The 2 PCI accessory plugs are basically 4 - 2x6 pin and 2x6+2 pin - so, really, you "could" power 2 heavy GPU cards (though at 680w, you'd burn this PS up pretty quick).

PS is highly configurable - I can't think of many situations where this PS would not fit.

Cons: It doesn't install itself.

Other Thoughts: I feel like I got a $100 PS for half price. I am very happy with what I've found - a case of "not as advertised" coming out in my favor.

I got this to power an upgrade graphics card - in my case, CrossfireX would not be good, so I only need the one - but I would have to go with 1kw or more to power 2 cards - but for my needs, this is beyond perfect. I was expecting to use my molex to SATA adapters, but now I don't have to, and now I have connectors to add that extra hard drive.

5 out of 5 eggsTwo years later

Pros: The beast. LOL. Clean design. Blue looms. Clean looms. Easy to use (installing/upgrading). Big fan. Not fancy enough to land in my yard at night as a UFO. Lots of plugs. Operation is smooth an easy on the back of the PC. Great price.

Cons: none?

Other Thoughts: I bought one 2 years ago for a EVGA 570 GTX 4Gb an if I make a 970 build I'll buy another. Not sure if how much of it's superb results are due to the Lian Li case.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome

Pros: I bought this to replace my old PSU which one of the fans went bad on. This is by the far quietest PSU I've ever had. Music to my ears. My sanity was found in the form of this PSU. Peace and quiet and it get's the job done.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: A lot of the wires are split for versatility, which is nice, but threw me off when I was looking for a 4-pin until I realized it was two 4-pins stuck together.

5 out of 5 eggs1 year still going strong

Pros: i was skeptical purchasing this at first considering i had never heard about apevia once before this but not a bad buy nice LEDs, cooling is good, good wattage for the price, very solid build its more like a brick than a power supply, a lot of leads, very good price

Cons: fans are a bit loud but not to the point were i will take off an egg, nothing else really

Other Thoughts: i have read in the reviews that peoples fans have died out? that has not yet happened to me after a year of heavy use

3 out of 5 eggsRolling the dice on this one

Pros: When it worked, it was quiet and pretty

Cons: Stopped working one day, junked it for my old reliable PSU from 2006

Other Thoughts: I won the QC fail lottery with this one, but hey at least it wasn't RMA
