Every advancement in computer technology -- every new graphics card, sound card or CPU, means a greater need for power. Developed for high-end SLI gaming systems, the Apevia (Aspire) ATX-AS680W-BL 680W Power Supply delivers 680 Watts, which is more than enough for all the power-hungry pieces in your case. An Active PFC design increases efficiency and reduces power consumption.

Its look is enhanced by the LED illumination and blue cable sleeving which, by cleaning up cable mess, improves airflow and ventilation. Cooling is provided by one 120mm UV blue LED fan and two 80mm UV blue fans, ensuring that the power supply stays cool in the hottest action. It offers Universal Input, which along with ATX12V v2.2 and EPS12V compliance ensures that you can use it in a variety of situations and almost everywhere, without worrying about input voltages.

It's designed to keep you playing for a long time, with a MTBF (Mean Time Before Failure) of 100,000+ hours. Its industrial grade components provide stable and steady output, and protection against power and voltage surges. The power supply sports two +12V rails (12V1, 12V2), which allow support for the most high-end of PC systems. It has one Main connector (20 + 4 pin), 1 x 12V (P4) (4/8 pin), eight peripherals, two PCI-E, two Floppy, and four SATA connectors.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome PSU!

Pros: Good airflow, pretty nice aesthetics (the blue lighting looks great!), and overall reliable. Although Apevia isn't a recommended brand by the build a PC community, this has lasted quite well and I don't experience any irregularities or dips in power.

Cons: none!

5 out of 5 eggsgreat price, look, and functionality.

Pros: My first computer build and it was a snap to install. It works great led works great and the fan control speed works, haven't had any problems with it. so far i love it and it goes strong. directions are easy to read and with the rebate i got on it it was pretty much a steal. highly recommend to anyone needing more wattage for a good graphics card.

Cons: So far the only con i have with it is the fan makes a funny noise for about 30 mins. it only stops after 30 mins if running at full speed.

Other Thoughts: it fits a micro ATX mini tower, but just barely with some wire management, zip ties, and HDD maneuvering.

1 out of 5 eggsIn the end; not worth it.

Pros: -8x molex, 4x sata, 2x floppy connectors.
-Looks and feels good.

Cons: -Died after 14 months of occasional gaming using a graphics card that only required 20amps max on a single 12v rail.
-Not 80+ certified.
-Not single 12v rail.
-Not modular
-Wasted amps on 3.3v and 5v rails to increase total wattage so novice buyers will buy it thinking any 600watt psu will work when it's the amps that matter.

Other Thoughts: It looks great, it's heavy and feels like quality but in the end it wasn't worth it considering I got a much better corsair psu for a few dollars more that is 80+ gold certified, single 12v rail, modular and more 12v amperage with less overall wattage then the apevia. I would not recommend this after reading the reviews here and mine quitting after just 14 months of light gaming and the system being off roughly 70% of the time.

4 out of 5 eggsGood

Pros: Gets the job done. Has a fan speed control knob. Nice cables.

Cons: Fan is generally loud.
Fan began making a whining sound after about 4 years. I used to give it a slap or two to make it stop until I added a shim between the fan and the grating and the sound stopped permanently.

4 out of 5 eggsGood buy

Pros: Looks good - three fans - lights up blue - chrome fan cover, fan control

Cons: Nothing

Other Thoughts: The only thing I could have asked for was the fan speed control be remote to the fitted to the front of the case, but at this price, I'm surprised its there at all.

1 out of 5 eggsCool but not worth it

Pros: looks cool sturdy construction

Cons: i had one that lasted for 5 months before dying got another and it was DOA. but it gets better it also managed to kill my brand new super expensive gpu and brand new also super expensive cpu oh and my brand new super expensive mobo... Yay. so now I have to wait to get my money back to fix it all and my computer will be down for another couple weeks all because I trusted this PSU.

2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Was great while it worked and loved the adjustable fan and the blue lights

Cons: Starting making a high pitched whine and would shut comp down before even got past motherboard/bios screen on startup. What makes it worse is it happened 31 days after purchased it so is no longer eligible for refund or exchange.

Manufacturer Response:

You can do an RMA through us for the power supply to get an exchange on the PSU if you are still under our warranty period. You can contact Apevia's customer service at service@apevia.com or call at (909) 718-0789. We try to reply to all calls and e-mails as soon as we can.

1 out of 5 eggs:(

Pros: -

Cons: Failed after a few months. Went with a different PSU that was of a more reputable company, which also failed after 1 year. Maybe I just have bad PSU luck.
