2 out of 5 eggsMeh

Pros: Nothing in particular. It didn't make too much noise.

Cons: Not all that great for any mid to high end systems.
I owned 2 and they both burned out after 9 months.

Every once in a while it would make a grinding sound when it was just idling.

Other Thoughts: This was the default power supply that came with my medium gaming rig. it was barely able to handle the load and it only ever held on for 9 months. Manufacturer replaced it with the same one and again it only last 9 months.

4 out of 5 eggsDoes the job

Pros: As the title says, it did the job. For a 4-year old cheap HP Pavilion I didn't want to spend the $50 that most local places wanted so this was great.

Cons: Feels cheap. Don't know how long it will last.

1 out of 5 eggsJunk

Pros: Cheap

Cons: Unable to output high wattage (but less then specs says) for more then 2 minutes - heats up, smells, reboots. So if you like games - never buy it

4 out of 5 eggsCan't believe it hasn't died yet

Pros: Has somehow powered a phenom x2 550 for 6 months now.

Cons: Is making horrible sounds when on load. Will sometimes shut down the computer at random times, but for the price and what I have it powering, it's been great.

Other Thoughts: Just bought a Corsair 400W to replace this, but will keep it around as a backup since it may be struggling, but it is still running.

Cons: it's cheap.... I purchased 4 of these 8 months ago and 3 out of the 4 just died within 2 weeks of each other...

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: works

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: I bought it to find out if my motherboard or my power supply was dead, turned out to be the motherboard, so I didn't get much use out of it.

5 out of 5 eggs5 Months... to the day.

Pros: Inexpensive OEM replacement for older equipment.
-ample available power @ 420w, 12volt, 10amp
-variety/number of supported devices
(minus SATA w/o adapters)
-cabling is adequate length (generally speaking),
wires stay flexible w/age
-quiet enough operation
-mfg. rebates and low cost
-1yr limited warranty, 30 day DOA guarantee
(as of writing… according to mfg.)

Cons: Failure exactly five months from date of installation.
-flimsy, cheap construction
-little documentation (not a con per-se, is an OEM part)
-insufficient ventilation/passive cooling redundancy
(evident by many premature failures within warranty)

Doing some light web browsing, familiar burning electrical odor. System loses power. Pulled the PSU. Excessively warm to the touch, cooling fan inoperable, unit dead.

Other Thoughts: Cheap and obviously not an enthusiast part. Absolutely lived up to spec whilst still functioning.

However, given the role this particular unit was to serve on an antiquated 1.1ghz Athlon near decade old desktop, failure within less than a year is rather unacceptable regardless of meager purchase price.

No regrets on purchase, merely disappointed with increasing failure rates in the value parts market given the day’s higher QA. Will be seeking RMA.

5 out of 5 eggsIts Good

Pros: Its cheap, It has two 12v rails producing a total of 36 amps. Its an OEM Power supply manufactuered by Apevia Corp, and its a 420 Watt Power Supply.

Cons: Not DOA.

Other Thoughts: I bought 2 of these power supplies and i put these PSU into a Dual Core system with a mainstream graphic card such as a Geforce 8400GS. I wouldnt recommend this PSU for a high end power hungry system.

THis is an OEM cheap Power supply, cant expect to much of it if your a performance oriented person.
