5 out of 5 eggsLong Lasting

Pros: Honestly I was not expecting much from this non-seasonic PSU. However, this PSU has been working for more than 4 years. I have one Video Card, 2 DVD-RW drives, Five Hard drives, 5 fans, tv tunner, 4 LED Lights. Among other things. Excellent buy!!! Will this PSU ever die?

Cons: It gets dusty after 4 years. After this great buy I might go back to Seasonic Made PSU. Back then the PSU cost me 127 Dollars.

1 out of 5 eggsDOA

Pros: nice looking is about it

Cons: doa . Construction is kinda cheap looking . spend your money on a modular powersupply .

Other Thoughts: Spend your money on something better than this . Yes its nice looking at all but nice looking isn't always best .

Manufacturer Response:

You can do an RMA through us for the power supply to get an exchange on the PSU if you are still under our warranty period. You can contact Apevia's customer service at service@apevia.com or call at (909) 718-0789. We try to reply to all calls and e-mails as soon as we can.

5 out of 5 eggsHappy happy happy

Pros: Bought this in 2010 after a previous supply burnt out after 5 years use. This one has been running 24/7 since 2010... Thats everyday with a few exceptions like leaving on vacation or something but on every day/night.. I think this is what makes pcs last. The consistant temps rather than cold/hot/cold/hot/cold/hot from shutting off every night degrading the components due to constant thermal changes...
This supply is powering an asus crosshair MB, 4 gb corsair ram, evga gforce GTX280/2gbVRAM, 2 HDD, running several 250mm fans all on Vista Enterprise 64bit on an AMD 3.1ghz dual core cpu.
We have frequent power fluxuations here where i live and numerous times this has triggered the pc to crash/reboot or just power off all together and it has never afected the supply or pc (knock on wood)

Cons: wish it had been modular as i had lots of left over cables, and since it was a top mounted full atx case i used a few cables were tight but they reached as with most supplies these days... just have no clue as to why companies cant just add the extra measly inch of wire and charge for it and its a win win for all....

Other Thoughts: building a new rig right now and would use this supply again if it were haswell ready

2 out of 5 eggsNot Thrilled

Pros: The psu worked great while it lasted. The color change was nice and worked with the rest of the setup. The connections were good. On sale at the time.

Cons: The thing only lasted me about 4 months before it fried and died. No discernible reason for failure.

Other Thoughts: One day it simply wouldn't turn on. I have no idea why. All I know is I got a new psu from a more reputable company with no issues.

Manufacturer Response:

3 out of 5 eggsExploded

Pros: After quite a bit of messaging back and forth with Apevia, they will finally take a look at my machine to see if they'll cover anything.

Cons: Still exploded...

Other Thoughts: This is an update to my last comment.

5 out of 5 eggsSo Far So Good

Pros: It's a good deal quieter than I had anticipated. It works. Looks snazzy.

Cons: The first one DOA'd but that was more or less no fault on the maker's part. It happens.

2 out of 5 eggsNot bad, I guess?

Pros: It looks pretty, the lights are nice in a windowed case, enough connectors for the average user, powerful enough for the average user.

Cons: If you use any sort of enthusiast class hardware it won't be enough. It has been double booting my system off and on for a few weeks now. But if you watch youtube, and do homework on it you'll most likely be fine.

Other Thoughts: Long story short, as long as you don't put to much stress on it, it is actually a nice PSU. But if you game, at all, spend the extra money on a higher quality PSU.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat PSU

Pros: Looks great. Easy to change the color scheme. Entire product is is very stylishly designed. The cables have plenty of reach to everything. Came with extra tie-downs. Quality tie downs I might add.

Cons: I would be nice if there was a way to change the color scheme on the cables. or at least if they were black they would fit in with my rig, probably others as well. My color scheme is Green and black so the standard Bright blue is kinda odd.

Other Thoughts: Last thoughts are really that it works great, fits everything and looks awesome past the cables.

1 out of 5 eggsDO NOT BUY

Pros: It looks nice but other than that cant really say. Seeing as how it was dead when I received it.

Cons: The power unit wasnt working straight out of the box.

Other Thoughts: Contacted Apevia for an RMA, the lady I spoke with was very nice and for the most part helpful. She explained to me that they would replace the bad power unit with another power unit, but I had to pay the extra twenty dollars for the shipping. I told the lady that I feel I shouldn't have to pay seeing as how it was a faulty unit and that I already paid for the shipping when I had bought it. The lady told me that it was company policy that I had to cover the shipping on my end and that they would cover the shipping on their end, and that if I didn't want to pay the shipping to contact Newegg and have them replace it. So I went ahead and paid for the shipping, seeing as how it was a defective part, it was a manufacturers problem and not Newegg's problem or fault. I really disapprove of how Apevia dealt with the situation and tried to pass the problem onto Newegg. THIS WILL BE THE LAST PRODUCT I WILL EVER BUY FROM APEVIA!!! I do not recommend ANY product from Apevia!
