Cons: Old technology, I bought this in Sept of 2009 for the same price it is today...$89.99 Died in 14 months. I only left this review because I was so surprised it is still on the market.

1 out of 5 eggsDoes not work

Pros: Attractive price for a 900w supply. Lights look cool.

Cons: DOA. I switched it out with two other psu's and they fired up no problem. This one one gave a faint hum but that's it.

Other Thoughts: This is the second item I've purchased on Newegg that has arrived in a broken state. I hear good things about this site but so far I've experienced nothing but disappointment.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Haven't had a problem with it over the year I've had it but if I knew how bright this thing would be I may have reconsidered, don't get me wrong, it looks and runs great, but if you're sensitive to light at all when sleeping you're gonna have to turn your machine completely off, as we're all accustomed to right?

Cons: .

1 out of 5 eggsFirst one DOA

Pros: Didn't get to use, was DOA, but at least installation and un-installation were easy, and I liked how all the cables were protected, hope the next one actually works.

Cons: DOA

Other Thoughts: Had to pay $14 for a label to send back a defective product. Bummer

5 out of 5 eggs1 Year and Going Strong

Pros: Powers my system and components extremely well

i5 CPU
8GB RAM
GTX 460

Cons: I have had none whatsoever

Other Thoughts: A friend reccomended Apevia for my first build a while back and I have used them ever since. I have never recieved a DOA after ordering 4 of these supplies.

A friend of mine used an Apevia Iceburg 680w for his build 4 years ago and it just went out last week. Replaced it with another one that was just as old from a now outdated computer and it's running perfectly.

5 out of 5 eggsStill working great.

Pros: Huge 12v rails that even still by today's standards are sufficient for most gaming rigs.

Different color LEDs built in for those "vain enough" to care about having one solid complete color scheme for your system in addition to the option of switching to no LEDs during the times when you don't want a neon blue metal Christmas tree 6-12 inches away from your screen.

Also has active PFC which is largely moot nowadays, but back 2+ years ago it was much much more difficult to find.

Cons: Not modular. 2+ years ago that was expected, these days there are more than 14 total PSUs on newegg that are modular.

Wouldn't mind if the molex were on a little longer cables or on separate sets of cables since they're a bit tight when you're stretching them across all corners of the case but that is more of an annoyance that falls under cable management and doesn't affect the PSU's performance. Not really worth dinging an egg for, but something to keep in mind.

Other Thoughts: This is in my system running about 4-12 hours per day, every day. The average load on the PSU is much lower than it's rated capacity but was intended to be used in an upgraded system that hasn't happened yet due to a hospital visit that consumed my new rig's budget. (Oh well. Living is slightly more important than a higher fps in crysis.)

The power in my area is not very stable and fluctuates (it killed my last PSU after less than 1 year), it has survived 3 power surges, and even the mighty dust bunny the size of a snickers that I pulled out of it 3 months ago during it's first cleaning in 2 years apparently didn't seem to bother it either. (Next build will definitely include filters)

This is the 3rd apevia PSU I've owned. First one was a ATX-AS680W-BL from 2007 that ate a surge and consequently fried (along with some other parts), second one is a 680 watt iceberg from Jan 2008 that is still going strong in my other rig, and this warlock from Sept 2008.
