2 out of 5 eggsWould not recommend for custom builds.

Pros: It was functional.

Cons: Low quality parts.

Other Thoughts: The only upside was that it was functional. I had two of them, both with the same problem. As soon as the gpu would go under load, the psu would make a (very) loud buzzing sound. I have heard coil whine before, but nothing like this. After 2 defective units in a row, I am sad to say Apevia has lost a customer. I will be going to a more reputable brand name.

4 out of 5 eggsDecent PSU

Pros: Easy installation. Plenty of wires(that I needed anyways). Blue light that matches my case lights. Works.

Cons: Haven't had any issues.
Short warranty.

Other Thoughts: I've had this particular PSU since July of 2012. I have not tried SLI, mostly because I'm a little leery since it was pretty cheap. Not saying it wouldn't work.

Might end up replacing it in 6mos to a year. Just to be safe, but may not necessarily have to do that.

Have had ZERO warning signs that it's failing and been doing a great job so far.

Wish the warranty had been longer than a year, just to put my mind at ease at least.

Sad that the consumer laws in the USA aren't as strong as the EU...

1 out of 5 eggsNot for SLI

Pros: Flashy and looks cool.
Newegg Sorta took care of it and gave me about half my money back...

Cons: Doesn't Handle SLI at all.. Replaced it with a Rosewill.

I replaced it once and both died!
Newegg should of gave me about 75% or more.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome psu (highly recommend)

Pros: I built my own cpu using this psu in 2011, and it's still going strong not a single problem. I even bought this exact psu for my brothers cpu, and his is going without any problems for a year now. Its quite. It lights up blue. It's reliable. I definitely recommend this power supply.

Cons: none that I have run into yet.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Like A Charm!

Pros: Simple install. Common everyday power supply!

Nice blue LED's light up the case!
Great Power for the money!

Cons: Fan is a little loud but for the money you really cant complain! Runs my home built server very well!

Other Thoughts: I would recommend this PSU to anyone needing a cheap solution and good amount of power! Runs 4 Fans, 6 HDDs and obviously a Motherboard and quad core CPU with ease!

5 out of 5 eggsKeeps on working

Pros: Works well. Has worked for 4.5 years in two separate home built rigs. Now powers a 4670K Haswell processor on a Gigabyte motherboard. Has blue lights if you like that sort of thing.

Ps it's also quiet (I discovered that recently :). With the new mobo I don't need a separate video card with its own cooling fans. Wow. Does that ever make a noise difference.

Cons: It's worked for four and a half years. How can I possibly complain?

1 out of 5 eggsVery Dissapointed - Stay away from this Manufacturer

Pros: Looked good with nice specs on paper. Rated output far above what I needed. I thought it would be a tank

Cons: After 11 months the computer began to shut off randomly. At first I did not attribute this to a defective power supply. Over the next 6-8 weeks the occurrences happened more frequently. When I replaced the PS the computer was shutting off every 20+ minutes.

Unfortunately, by the time I replaced the PS it was outside of the factory warranty. What is worse, the company's website appears to no longer be functioning. No way to tell if they are even in business any longer. No way to get support from the manufacturer that I can find on the Internet.

The computer has been running without shutting down for several weeks now that a new PS is installed

Other Thoughts: 11 months of service from an upper end component is not satisfactory.

Manufacturer Response:

Our Web site (www.apevia.com) is still up and running. It is possible that it might have been down temporarily when you went to check it, though. If you ever need any help with any of our products, you can contact customer service at service@apevia.com or call at (909) 718-0789. We try to respond to all calls and e-mails as soon as possible.

5 out of 5 eggs4 Years In and Going Strong

Pros: - Apparently lasts forever
- Worked though several rebuilds
- Quiet
- Lovely subtle blue

Cons: - Not modular

Other Thoughts: For a basic power supply, this thing has been a tank. It's outlasted 2 motherboards and is still in my computer for the newest update. It's been run for hundreds upon hundred of hours over the last few years and has never had so much as a hiccup.

The best thing I can say about this power supply is that I haven't even thought about it in years. I've never needed to.

It casts a cool blue light into my case, it's been quiet, and it's never given me any problems. Power supplies don't really do much else and this one is definitely worth the buy.
