5 out of 5 eggsAbsolutely excellent

Pros: About as many connections as a computer could need
Sweet blue LED (at least on mine, it seems that it randomly sends either blue, or green or some other color)
Very quiet
Cords are long enough for just about any case
Cords have a mesh covering on them. Not sure how much that actually matters, but it looks awesome.

Cons: None what so ever

Other Thoughts: Yes, the rebate seems to take forever. However, after I sent an email to Apevia inquiring about it, I recieved an email the very same day saying that the order was confirmed and would be reviewed, etc. It's on it's way in the mail now, and I could not be happier with Apevia's customer service. THANK YOU MARCELLA FROM APEVIA!!!

4 out of 5 eggsGreat for a low budget power supply.

Pros: I bought this power supply two years ago and have used it in several systems and I've used it to test motherboards and video cards. It is not the highest quality build, but it is great for what I use it for. It currently runs my back up computer (a Phenom 9550 system with an over-clocked GTS 250). In that system it has no problems.

Benefits:
*Unusual for a cheap power supply, it can actually handle its advertised wattage.
*It is attractive looking.
*Adequate connectors for many peripherals.
*Can be used to run mid range cards in a SLI or Crossfire configuration (GTS 250, 9800 GT, etc).
*Can be used to illuminate a case with a transparent side panel.

Cons: *Not the greatest build quality, the power switch actually broke and had to be repaired.
*Some voltage rippling, but acceptable for most computers.
*Weak rails not recommended for high end cards (GTX 470, GTX 480, HD 5870, HD 5850).
*Recommend a well ventilated and cool case to prevent premature death due to heat causing capacitors to leak.

Other Thoughts: "After about 2 months the Power supply randomly started shorting, etc, etc... to a high pitch squealing noise."

Barret, this sounds like a defective electrolytic capacitor. If you have the skill to identify the bad capacitor, it can be replaced. When replacing the capacitor make sure the voltage is the same or greater than the original cap and make sure the microfarad rating is exactly the same. Also make sure that you do not switch polarities. Oh, and try not to electrocute yourself, because your family will miss you.

2 out of 5 eggsStarting to fail

Pros: very nice looking. 700W for $60 is unbeatable.

Cons: After about 2 months the Power supply randomly started shorting and restarting my computer about once every 2 weeks. Now i'm looking for a replacement because it is making a growling noise. if you hit it sometimes it will stop, or it will change to a high pitch squealing noise.

Other Thoughts: I really like Apevia's products, but honestly they are a cheaper company so I'm not suprised about the PSU's performance

5 out of 5 eggsFor those who don't know

Pros: The power supply has been a great buy for me I am running a AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition on it with 2x ATI 4870's and it works perfectly for gaming rig..
The comment that always comes back is it has only 2 X 6 PIN connector on it.. if you have baught a video card that requires 2 connectors and you want to xfire 2 of them the video card provider should include connectors in the video card box exactly for that....So i dont see where the problem is...

All in all It is a great product and would recommend it to anyone.

Cons: Nothing...

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: It's a working power supply. No problems so far. The blue glow it puts out matches the rest of my blue glowing case. Not yet sure if that's a pro or a con.

Cons: None.
