4 out of 5 eggsPower supply

Pros: Seems to do the job and keep up with son's gaming.

Cons: Loud.

Other Thoughts: When first installed, the fan did not seem too loud. Now that he is gaming the fan gets very loud. As long as it keeps doing it's job keeping up with the gaming, we will put up with the loudness.

5 out of 5 eggsReliable Power

Pros: Great Power Supply - still running strong after 3+ years.
Used at least 2 hours per day - up to 8 hours on some days. It gets mostly basic usage with light gaming included.
Nice appearance. The covered wiring looks great if you can see it (I can't see them on my build unless the case is open). The lights on the fan are awesome if you can see it in your setup. Great price when discount/rebate are offered. I paid 59 and got 25 back in the mail!

Cons: Short warranty - good thing I didn't need to use it.

3 out of 5 eggsshort term lifespan

Pros: delivers adequate power, cool blue to match my case and fans (looks cool), fairly quiet

Cons: short lifespan, I'm going on 2½ years and I now need a new one (classic psu failure symptoms) - in fact, that's what I'm doing here, ordering an Evga psu.. figured I might as well drop a review to

gets too hot, and I've not once heard the fan ramp up to compensate - the first week I had it, it got so hot that it softened the switch enough to render it useless (no clicky clicky) - fortunately it stiffened back up over time and I can use the switch again.. now that it's failing lol

with my experience in mind, I'd say it's mid to low quality

Other Thoughts: meh.. paid 59 for it, so that's less than a 30 dollar a year investment - supplied ample power when it was called upon to do so, even with overclocking - it's not at all bad, but I wouldn't call it 'good' either

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great.

Pros: Delivers more than enough power for my build. It's quite quiet.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: This power supply has been the pinnacle of reliability in my system for almost 3 yrs now. I wish I had gotten a modular PSU though as it has made my mid tower look like a rat's nest up top.

1 out of 5 eggsI'm not buying Apevia again

Pros: Plenty of cabelry to hook up all your components.
Price was reasonable, but you get what you pay for.

Cons: 2 (painless) RMAs and I finally had a unit that could handle my crossfired 5850s... but only for a year. Recently it started shutting down when I started a game which required both GPUs. I'll not be buying Apevia again, despite their good service - when I spend money on a solid part like a PSU, and am kind to it, I expect it to be fulfilling the needs I paid for 4-5 years from purchase.

Other Thoughts: People told me not to gamble on this unit. They were right.

4 out of 5 eggsA Fair Deal

Pros: Has worked for 2.5 yrs in my machine with no fault. PC is on more often than off, used for 3d rendering & gaming, and I have never had a hiccup with this PSU.

Cons: It's the loudest piece of hardware in my system except for my pair of big cooling fans when turned up high.

Other Thoughts: Has a blue light that I don't see (opaque case).
Plenty of connectors.
High power for a good price.

4 out of 5 eggsPretty good

Pros: Powers everything perfectly and havent had any problems so far and its led fan is bright enough to be noticed but not blind you at night

Cons: the reason it lost and egg was because of the fan noise its pretty loud and gets kinda irritating after a while

Other Thoughts: Other than the noise of the fan its a perfect power supply for a really good price

1 out of 5 eggsDoes not work!

Pros: It worked for about 12 seconds.

Cons: Stopped working, kept turning itself on for a split second then immediately turns itself off.

Other Thoughts: DO NOT GET THIS PIECE OF JUNK!
