24/7 now for about 3 yrs and counting
- Pros: 24/7 for about 3 years now and counting. This thing is quiet and obviously very reliable as the PC it is in stays on all the time. This PC and the motherboard/CPU in it two years ago both ran overclocked chips, plus there are 3 hard drives, two DVD drives, and currently an 8800GT.
- Cons: None.
- Other Thoughts: Would definitely buy again.
died after 2 years...
- Pros: kinda worked for 2 years i guess? i was able to have an advanced RMA ship out the same day i notified them. which is surprising considering the other peoples comments about support.
- Cons: cost $150 and died in 2 years... i have old no name cheapo PSU's still alive in other PC's after 5 years of the same 24/7 use.
- Other Thoughts: This is my second high end PSU to fail very prematurely of the only two I have ever bought. I am starting to think its a waste of money.
I had issues with intermittant crashing, and my mobo battery dying, and now its all making sense... this was all because of my PSU.
I only hope the replacement works and lasts longer than this one, even though they processed and shipped my advanced RMA in the same day, its 6 days shipping from Cali and I have no computer :(
connected to an online ups and still failed
- Pros: Better than previous power supplies I had owned with the possible exception of PC Power & Cooling
- Cons: Failed after 2 years even with being connected to an online UPS. I didn't push this unit. I had an 8800gts video card that was not OC'd and two hard drives and a Core2 Extreme x6800 that was barely OC'd and always had low temps.
- Other Thoughts: This failure took out my CPU and RAM and cost me way too much in down time. This time I'm getting the best PS I can find.
