4 out of 5 eggsbasic, budget power supply

Pros: Cheap, quiet, works as expected. Powers two hard drives, a couple opticals, a cheap video card and an older, power-hungry 3.0 GHz Pentium D.

Cons: Some cables are VERY short. The P4 connector isn't even a foot long! Be sure to take this into account when selecting a motherboard and case layout. Either choose a power supply with modular cabling or a motherboard where the power connectors are closer to the power supply mount.

Other Thoughts: With today's alternate case layouts (Antec's P180 comes to mind), you'd think that power supply manufacturers would start specifying a "minimum cable length" spec or something similar.

5 out of 5 eggsQuiet and Efficient

Pros: Quiet, good amount of power, efficient, reliable

Powered an e6750 and an 8800GTS no problems for over a year. Plenty of power for a 350W: 27A (324W) on 12V rails!

Cons: - Missing PCIe cable
- Same internals as old Earthwatts 380 (they designed it!) but more expensive w/o PCIe cable

Other Thoughts: Seasonic stuff is great =D

5 out of 5 eggsreal cool supply

Pros: Extremely efficient, so quiet that you can still hear crickets

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Got me thinking about replacing existing supplies to reduce noise and AC cooling cost in summer. Buying another brand to compare noise and efficiency before choosing which one to go with.

5 out of 5 eggsGood supply

Pros: Efficient, my server consumes about 25 fewer watts at idle according to my Kill-A-Watt.
Active fan control keeps it quiet, too.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Replaced stock inefficient Everex gPC supply after I added additional HDDs and fans. Absolutely no problems with this supply so far.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Quiet as a ninja and runs everything with ease. 2 optical drives, 1 hard drive, Geforce 6600GT AGP, and an Athlon 3200+. Has enough to headroom to probably eat even more.

Cons: The plug's shape means it doesn't fit perfectly into an HP Pavilion case. Doesn't mean anything since most people don't look at the back of the computer anyway.

Other Thoughts: Got this to replace the generic PSU that was in my parents' HP Pavilion machine because I didn't trust it and it didn't have the juice to run a discrete graphics card. The Seasonic had all the power I needed, and now the system's memory isn't being eaten by onboard graphics.

In response to BRD: Seasonic is one of those companies thats unknown to commoners but is extremely famous to system builders. Big name PSU makers like Antec and Corsair all get their power supplies made by Seasonic (then they just slap a Corsair or Antec sticker on them).

5 out of 5 eggsWhat?

Pros: ...

Cons: ...

Other Thoughts: I don't own this, but "BRD" has angered me with his unbased comments. SeaSonic is not a "no-name" brand. Do some research before making stupid comments. This is THE company as far as PSU internals go. Corsair uses SeaSonic internals, and FSP does as well. All three brands are reputed for their reliability and general excellence.

4 out of 5 eggsgood for htpc

Pros: Inexpensive, short cables, silent for a single 80mm fan PSU

Cons: no 6 pin PCI-E connector, but does not matter. This 350W noname is to weak for high end video boards anyway.

Other Thoughts: I bought this for my HTPC. That is why I mentioned the short cables. If you have a rather weak PC (mine: Sempron LE1150, Biostar TF7050, GF6600 non gt, 1 hdd, 1 DvD writer, 2gb memory) this PSU is perfect.

4 out of 5 eggsQuiet Quality

Pros: Seasonic reputation, quiet operation, fair price.

Cons: Leads are a bit short, could use a few more connectors.

Other Thoughts: Fine for business machines or other non-gaming rigs where quality & reliability are a priority.
