2 out of 5 eggsInitial Power Draw

Pros: Power Supply is SFX Form Factor

Cons: 2 out of 3 PSUs wouldn't supply enough initial power to my Jetway Dual Core Atom boards. Motherboard would fire up for a second then turn off. However the PSU does test good with a power supply tester, which through me. I thought it was the motherboard, until I tried three different ones. All outside of the chassis. No peripherals. Then I plugged in a thermaltake PSU into the boards and they all powered up.

Other Thoughts: 66% Failure rate with my experience. However your experience may vary.

Manufacturer Response:

Hi Timothy, for the power supply to run properly, you must connect the MB plus a perpherial. It is possible there was not enough load to start up the PSU. Different power supplies will have different operations characteristics and ours are very different to that of Thermaltake.

4 out of 5 eggsGood PSU if it will fit

Pros: This is a good price for an 80 Plus power supply in the hard to find SFX form factor. It's pretty quiet and seems well built.

Cons: It's about 25mm longer than the SFX specification. This PSU is 125mm long, while the specification states it should be 100mm long. For most people, this won't be a problem, but it won't work with extremely tight cases such as the Silverstone Sugo SG05, at least without removing the drive mount. Also unlike some SFX power supplies, there is no cooling fan or gril on the bottom to pull air through the unit. This can severely compromise cooling if used in a case where the CPU is directly under the power supply with no other exhaust.

Other Thoughts: This is a fine PSU if your case has enough room. Just do the research better than I did and make sure that it has at least 125 mm of clearance for the power supply.

2 out of 5 eggsNo Power Calbe?

Pros: It works well.

Cons: When i received this it came in bubble wrap without any power cable or anything! I searched all over my house and finally found a spare cable. If i didn't have one laying around i would have been very upset!

Other Thoughts: The PSU does what it's supposed to do, it works. I think there should be a power cable included though.

Manufacturer Response:

Hi Peter, sorry for any inconveniene but the unit you have purchased is what we consider as a Non-Retail, OEM BULK power supply and these units do not come with AC Cable as part of the package. If you were to purchase a P, X, G or any other Seasonic Retail power supplies, an AC power cable will be included in the package. Thank you.

1 out of 5 eggsMaybe OK, but too big.

Pros: Unknown.

Cons: Does not conform to SFX specifications and is therefore too large for chassis requiring SFX power supply. A complete waste of time and money. I will avoid this brand like the plague and advise all my clients to do the same.

Other Thoughts: SFX specifies depth of 125mm, but this unit is 130mm. The 1/5" difference is quite significant in applications requiring this form factor. I suggest spending your money on a reputable brand, not this sham.

Manufacturer Response:

Hi Reid Simmons, sorry the depth of the powr supply did not match your needs. Please note Intel SFX specifications is 300w and this unit is 350w and therefore the foot print might be slightly bigger in order to achieve the 50w extra. It is still called a SFX because the back plate is SFX dimenstions. 125 x 64mm. Similar as to ATX specifications, you will find many power supplies of higher wattage that are much deeper in depth than the original Intel ATX specifications. This is in no way to trick people nor is a "sham" in your words. This is just the limitations of the design. Our SFX footprint for the power output is already one of the smalled on the market today and in the end, if 5mm in depth will make such a difference in yoru system between fitting or not fitting, just the cable out alone will make a difference on the bend angle of the cables. If you have any further issues, please contact me at newegg@seasonicus.com anytime.

4 out of 5 eggsIf youre wanting to get this for the Silverstone fortress case -Keep reading

Pros: Seemingly well reviewed, works as expected for a powersupply...

Cons: If youre wanting to use this for the Silverstone Fortress cas (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811163197) and you have the expectation that you can use a 3.5" drive, or an optical drive -This is NOT your powersupply, since that case only works (with those perph's with a PS thats 100mm long or shorter)

I wouldent say that this is a seasonic problem, since any reference I could find alludes to SFX powersupplies all having the same dimensions...

2 out of 5 eggsI dunno...

Pros: It works, mostly.

Cons: I moved my system from an ATX case with a 400w PSU to a microATX case with this Seasonc 350w PSU. Before, I could put the PC to sleep and it would resume with no problem. Now, when I resume, my second hard drive doesn't wake up. The PC resumes fine, but the sound of a device uninstalling comes a few seconds after resume, and no 2nd drive. I have to shut down/restart. I docked 2 eggs for this.

Also, this has 2 SATA power plugs, 4 molex plugs and 2 floppy power plugs. WTH. Another egg docked.

Other Thoughts: This is my first seasonic PSU and I expected top notch stuff given their reputation. Not sure what to make of this.

Like others mentioned, the fan is a tad loud as well, and hardly even pushes much air for the noise it's making. I didn't dock any eggs for this, though maybe I should have.

1 out of 5 eggsTHIS IS USED

Pros: It works?

Cons: This PSU was shipped, wrapped in bubble wrap only, even with a sticky note from some other company attached to it.

1 out of 5 eggsTHIS IS USED

Pros: It worked, but not sure how long since it was USED.

Cons: Next day air took 4 days because of "processing."

I was shipped this PSU, in wrapped in bubble wrap, it even had a post-it note attached to the side of the unit with a bunch of numbers from another company.

Other Thoughts: This is unbelieveable, and marks my last purchase from Newegg, ever.

5 out of 5 eggsit fit's... sort of

Pros: Not able to actually mount but it slipped into my Dell optiplex desktop case no problem. Got it to give me a little more power when I upgraded my vidcard... does exactly what I want it to do.

Cons: it's only 350w, would have liked a little more power but it's a good steady 350 so I'm happy.

Other Thoughts: Have seen so many other Power supplies of the microatx/sfx form factor that are so junky and it's hard to find a decent brand in this form factor.

4 out of 5 eggsNewegg - Please update fan size.

Pros: Works fine powering my HTPC, which includes an AMD 6870. There aren't any PCIe connectors, so be sure to have adapters.

Cons: Newegg, please tell me how an 80mm fan can fit in a 63.5mm tall case? This is a 60mm fan, not 80mm. The fan is also very noisy and many enthusiasts would likely want to replace it.

Other Thoughts: Silverstone has some new, more expensive power supplies that weren't available when I built my HTPC. I'd probably lean towards one of them due to the cables not being modular and the loud fan.
